Saturday BG vs NMU

Post by FindlayFalcon »

End of 1st period--BG 6--NMU 2. Goals by Hodgsen, Whitmore, Svendsen, Foster, Falk, Foster. Unger and Pilkington have at least 2 assists each and Foster and Whitmore each have at least one assist. Where the heck was all this scoring last night?????

Best all time Hockey name in my opinion. The NMU goalie's name is Zaniboni. Unfortunately he didn't do a good enough job of keeping the net clean and they took him out :D

nice bounce-back win for the orange and brown tonight. if you guys could find some consistency, you'll be tough. as it is, not sure which falcon team will show up each night. definitely can be explosive when you guys are on. i like the idea of burying nmu early, they may be a threat later in the year, but not if they're too far back.

The thing is, NMU didn't really play much worse than last night. BG was just that much better than last night. They took it to them until about half way through the third. NMU just started playing frustrated after the first. McInchak sucked as usual. Totally inconsistent and the Bronson fight was inevitable. BG players basically getting hit with an intent to injure and nothing being called. Faceoffs still sucked and took way too long.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought I saw Sitko in the pregame warmup. Did he reinjure himself last night? Bales had a few good plays, but he'll need some time.

Its like all the pieces are there, but they have not been put together yet. I hope they do, we have a lot of talent.

Sitko did not warm up, he was in the stands with Meloche during warm ups.

I like the effort put forth last night, they kept their feet moving and peppered both goalies with shots... a stark contrast from last night.

Friday BG cycled the puck well but they didn't get enough quality shots, it was definitely an improved effort on both sides of the ice. However sometimes on defense we have the tendency to force the play to the outside (which is good) but then we're not taking our checks and that leads to rushes against us.

I guess this is what frustrates me more than anything and the reason why I won't be spending major dinero on season tix anytime soon. The inconsistency kills me. It apparrent we have enough talent to play with Northern Michigan and even OSU and the like but we need all the players to play at a high intense level at all times or we get beat badly. Not sure why this is , I haven't watched a ton of games with Paluch as coach so I have no idea what the problem might be.

I'm starting to think maybe Horrell is our best option to start games at goalie. He is a senior and he'll probably give us the best chance to do something before we get too far down to come back out of the standings cellar.

"Denero" is spelled "dinero." That bugs me.

Like you would actually pay if they were good. You are a cheapass. I know I'm cheap a lot of the time, ask my friends. But man, you're unbelievable.

Don't bother going to the game. What you do is not supporting the school at all. In fact I'm certain the hockey, football and basketball players that you criticize so damn well do not want you there anyway.
