Tough loss in a pretty well played game. Spratt in net looked really good at times and really bad in others. I don't know what else much to say at this point. Hopefully someone can fill in details, I don't have it in me right now.

Oh and Philo is the worst ref I've seen in a while. I'm not faulting him for costing us the game or anything. However, he just didn't have a clue out there. It was comical to see 6 guys stuffed in each penalty box though, just to give you a snapshot of the antics he caused tonight.

Did anyone see the reason Foster's breakaway got whistled down? I know there was a penalty called but did anyone see it?

I guess I'll say it. We're in for one very long year, friends. There's a lot of talent on this team but they don't appear to be pulling in the same direction.

This is going to be Scott's first big challenge of his young coaching career. It will be interesting how he responds.

I think it was more incidental contact than Bronson actually slashing the guy. Even the Miami players looked suprised about the whistle.

Yes, Philo was absolutely horrible. Sitko gets a 5 and a game misconduct but there was no call when Matsumoto got checked from behind into the net. Unger gets called for charging the goalie, when he NEVER TOUCHED THE GOALIE! The Miami defenseman punched his own goalie in the face on the play.

But, all that still doesn't give us an excuse not to play 100% for at least 60 minutes every game. We came out in the 1st slow. Once they scored, we were back on our heels the rest of the game. The best we played all night was after they scored on the 5 on 3. The powerplay was absolutely horrid. 1-11! A 4 on 3, a full 2-minute 5 on 3, and we can still only manage one goal on 11 total chances.

This is what we saw......

Miami out skated us...... period. The two second period goals were in front of us and the Miami players skated around BG as if they were cones. I kid you not.

BG seemed slow..... I don't know if it is a team speed issue or they were just slow last night. We rarely won a 50-50.

We seemed to play in a frenzy, while Miami seemed to play a much more controlled game. Except for a couple of the power plays we had.

It was a penality ridden-game. I don't know if it was the refs or just sloppy play.

My opinion is that BG played hard all three periods, but we never got a rthym going.

Typical Miami play with a little bit of Philo thrown in.

We couldn't connect and they couldn't miss. That's just the way the puck bounced.
