Falcons remaining schedule.....

Post by Falconboy »

I wonder whats the best case scenerio for us to finish this season. The rest of our schedule looks really brutal with the top teams in CCHA left to play at the end. Miami , Michigan, Lake Superior and A-FB are all left , not counting ND and Ferris St.

If we can get just some more ties with the either UM and Miami and sweep Western hopefully beat ND we should be able to steal a chance to get home ice. Any thoughts? :-\

I'm calling a split with Michigan.. sweep of ND and either a split or 3 pts from WMU. I'd like to see a win against Ferris. Fairbanks is up in the air. I don't know how we've tended to play out there. Miami is good, I can see us getting 1 maybe two points there, or easily getting swept.

However I don't see us getting blown out of any more games like earlier in the season. The D corps have really tightened down and are playing their assignments well. The forwards are taking better care of the puck through the neutral zone and are getting great pressure on the forecheck. When things do break down, Horrell has been on fire. We're going to be in every game from here on out.

A sweep of WMU is quite probable. Look at their record. They're currently in last place and are having a lot of trouble scoring goals, let alone stopping them. This is NOT the WMU of old that had a lot of fire power (if not a lot of defense). They're floundering right now. Stats wise we SHOULD manhandle them this weekend. It'll be up to the players, however, NOT to become overconfident and look past WMU.

On a side note, I'll bet that Ferris wishes that we hadn't had ice problems when we did. This will be a completely different team they'll be seeing this time!

I know *I* wish we didn't have ice problems when we did....

But you're right. The BG team from (what was that, late november?) and now are completely different!
