Alex Foster - HOBEY WATCH!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Absolutely wonderful to see! I have a funny/stupid connection to Alex Foster, so it's cool to see him succeeding like this. I actually just went on and nominated him (along with 3 other Falcons) last night on the Hobey site.

That's ok, let them think that, they'll ALL be paying attention to BG pretty soon!!!Jacobs4Heisman wrote:Taken from the CSTV website:

"Foster has an NCAA-best 29 assists at Bowling Green. He's gone under the radar, which is not hard to do when you play for the Falcons, who could run a witness protection program for players."
Right here buddy

Great to see the recognition...both for Alex and the team. One thing to keep in mind though...in the 25 year history of this award four sophomores have won it:
Neal Broten, Minnesota 1981
Tony Hrkac, N Dakota 1987
Robb Stauber, Minnesota 1988
Ryan Miller, Mich State 2001
Broten and Hrkac both left school immediately for the NHL. Stauber and Miller came back for their junior seasons, then left.

We need more votes boys and girls!
Currently Alex Foster is our leading vote-getter with 72, and Unger and Matsumoto (68) are the only two other Falcons eligible so far (a player needs 25 nominations to move on to the next round). There are a ton of players on this team who at least deserve preliminary consideration - GO VOTE!
