I cried tonight.

And I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I fell in love with BG Hockey roughly four years ago. I now live and breath it. I delay my plans on Fridays and Saturdays just to listen to the games. I wear my Falcon Hockey sweater everywhere I can, just to annoy people. I love it. Period.

I have been waiting for three years to see a win over Michigan and Ohio State since I became a fan whilst a student at BG. This year, this team gave me both of my wishes. I was there when we beat OSU - it was the greatest hockey game I've ever seen, and it was a shutout, no less! I listened from Arizona on WBGU tonight, and I was unbelievably sad that I couldn't be there to experience the win. I am so proud of this team, this coach, and that crowd. It sounded crazier in that arena than I have ever experienced in person.

If you were at the game, please know that I envy you. You just witnessed one of the best games that this current Falcon Hockey fan has ever experienced to any degree. For those of you that are current students, you are absolutely blessed to be able to watch the resurgence of this program. I can't describe the frustration of being stuck in a desert while all of this happens!

Thank you, Pooch. You have certainly earned your first win over Michigan. It is all up from here!

GO FALCONS!

I knew it was big when they had to start parking people at the Field House.

BG played 60 minutes of solid hockey, and showed they can compete with best in the nation.

Been a long time since we've beat those goons, and to do it in front of a great crowd?

Hey sville, as I said before, I wasn't mad at you - just surprised. And as I said, I didn't think you really meant it, and I am extatic to see that you didn't! :D

What does sville stand for anyways? Strongsville?

I was so pumped to be at this game! My mom and brother drove up from tennessee just to watch it. This was the best hockey game i have seen all year, at any level. I even cought a puck that came into the crowd, which is always like the cherry on top :D .

As long as you didn't catch it with your teeth, of course!

I'm jealous of all of you. Reminds me of some of my first trips to the Ice Arena in high school or before, going to games with my dad to see them play Michigan and stand a couple deep in the corners!

I second what TG said.

I hate you all.

I don't get to go. I don't even get to listen. Just revel in the score updates and go, "Awww. Poor Michigan."

Definately the case tonight. I don't think any of us moved down by the zamboni doors. By the end of the game, there were people standing almost halfway to the zamboni room. Of course, I was still right on the glass

I had fears that after last night we might have a lot of UM fans, and while they did show up in force they didn't really say a whole hell of a lot.

I know I am blessed and I am for damn sure taking advantage of it.
Hell, I called off work tonight just to be at the game!
I was so happy to see a HUGE crowd at the game tonight and hear everyone get together and show those guys just how imposing our arena can be. After all I've heard about the history of our team and our arena, I am SO happy to be a part of the resurgence of both.
You can bet your ass I'll be at the Miami game. (I'm calling off work again for the RIT game, and we'll see about the 2nd ND game!)
By the way... how about the AZZ.com shirt Freida had on? :D

They kept trying to get a "Goalie, sieve" chant going. But, for some reason, they were pointing the wrong way for each  I just wish I was closer to them when they were doing it. A nice, loud "SCORE-BOARD" usually shuts them up....

To bad nobody started a "Rudy" chant after the goalie change. He was just a little mad sittin on the bench. I almost felt bad for him. Almost

Oh gosh, in the third period, there were a bunch of UM fans on the far side leaving early, and the student section started a "WHERE YOU GOING?" chant. And they flicked us off! Unbelievable, what a bunch of sore losers. I'll tell you what, all those Michigan fans who thought they were going to get another easy victory tonight were pretty flabbergasted after we went up 3-0 in the 2nd period. Breaking out the keys at the end of this one was the best kind of icing.

Yeah, it's defintely payback for all the crap that we deal with going up there. Actually the stuff we say/do doesn't even compare to their classlessness.
