right now looks like we will be playing a home series against notre dame, but were only 2 points off the 4th seed and a first round bye...currently the fourth seeded team is lake superior, hopefully we can get a sweep or a split and stay in contention for a first round bye, that would be HUGE!

That's the way it is now, but things can change in one night. We just need to (obviously..) keep winning!

Keep in mind that BG and NMU have played more games than the other teams.

You can switch between points order and winning percentage order. Also note BG losses compared to other teams.

BG has a daunting task to finish over .500.

Also, since we don't hold the tiebreaker w/ Ferris (0-2 head-to-head) We'd hold the last first round game vs. Neb-Omaha. Now we swept them pretty handily earlier in the season, but we all know how our series w/ Fairbanks turned out last year right? But again, things can and will change.

if we can play like we did against michigan on saturday (not friday) haha, we would finish over .500 easy, but we dont play consistently well enough to be sure of that...i still think that we can be a dangerous team come playoff time because if we get an a roll like a couple weeks ago, we can play with anyone anywhere

I agree with BGBill...the task of reaching .500 in CCHA play will be daunting.
Consider this...at 8-11-1 we'd need to go 6-2 over our remaining conference games to finish 14-13-1...we've got 2@Lake Superior (they're a very tough defensive team, and a long bus ride), 2 @ Fairbanks (inconsistant but talented, and always a tough trip), 2 vs. Notre Dame at home (this is the 'soft spot' in our remaining schedule, and they swept us earlier) and we get to finish with a home/away weekend with Miami. We need at least two series sweeps from these four series to get to .500

Interesting factoid (and one of which I'm sure the coaches are well aware):
We've had twelve weekend series' (whether Thurs-Fri, Fri-Sat or whatever, and whether the opponent has been the same or not) we've struggled on the first night of the series.

First night record 3-9, and have been outscored 34-58.
Second night record 8-3-1 and have outscored opponents 55-39.
No way to sweep anybody when we get beat the first game.

Yeah, I've noticed quite a bit this year how much better we play on Saturday nights for whatever reason. That's why I was so glad we got to play scUM in BG last saturday night, that was our best chance to win that one. Hopefully we can get the Friday night funk fixed and sweep a couple series!
