BG sweeps Ball State, 4-0 & 7-0!!

Falcons blank Cardinals, 4-0, in game 1. BG outhit BSU, 10-2, and Liz Vrable pitched a complete game shutout. Liz fanned 6 batters and only walked 1. Gina Rango continued her torrid hitting with a 3-4 day and Desiree Miller hit a 3 run HR in the top of the 1st.

In game 2, BG won 7-0 and outhit BSU 13-3. That's 23-5 combined for both games. Vrable came on in relief for Emily Gouge in the 4th and the two combined to shut out BSU on only 3 hits. Hayley Wiemer pitched a scoreless 7th inning.

With the sweep, BG improves to 25-15, 8-2 MAC and leads the MAC East. BG travels to Oxford to take on Miami tomorrow at 2 and Sunday at 1.
