We're going to need this phenomenal incoming class to come in and contribute immediately.
The 3 current freshmen are getting very few minutes. While that's at least partially a product of the seniors in front of them, the fact that they rarely (if ever) see double digit minutes even in the blowouts scares me a bit for next year.
The backcourt will be fine, but the frontcourt will need to be completely rebuilt.

I'd venture to guess that the competition they (the current Freshman class)face in practice each day is worth a lot more to their development than getting a few extra minutes against lesser opponents. I'm pretty sure if Coach Miller felt otherwise, he'd find them a few extra minutes here and there. They'll be prepared to contribute and will do just fine next year.JoeFalcon wrote:We're going to need this phenomenal incoming class to come in and contribute immediately.

Still, there's nothing like game minutes and action to get you fully prepared. Practice just doesn't fully prepare you for actual games.greg1 wrote:I'd venture to guess that the competition they (the current Freshman class)face in practice each day is worth a lot more to their development than getting a few extra minutes against lesser opponents. you are very correct sir.
IF, however, we are thinking that Curt should try to squeeze them in during more meaningful periods of the game, then I am a big pro-ponent of that. Let them see 1st half floor time, maybe one at a time, with the Seniors. Doesn't have to be extended time..but if Clapper is on the floor in a game with Ali, Liz, Kate, and Megan , for example.....even for a minute of game clock, that is worth a LOT. -or- leave Kate in for a few minutes with all 3 of the Freshmen..since they will need to get comfortable playing with her.
