GREAT WIN!!!

Post by Rightupinthere »

I was really worried, but they Falcons proved why they are ranked!

WOW! Nice comeback and very nice gutsy win.

On to NIU!

It was awesome to watch on TV! Nice job everyone who was there!
Ali Mann in the second half. Liz in the first. Kate the entire game.
Toledo had 8 days off and we just keep playing.

Way to grind and gut it out! :axe: :smt079

Toledo played probably their best game of the season, and we were running on pure emotion.

It's going to be tough to run the table getting every team's best game night after night. If any team can do it, it's this group.

The rankings will be interesting to see this week, going into our toughest MAC week of the year.

True. Got my games mixed up. I've had NIU marked at the beginning of the season, however.

BSU will prove to be a great teast for this team.

This game was awesome. One of the most fun I've ever been at. Our team showed a lot of heart out there. Can't wait to see what they're capable of for the rest of the season.

I heard that! AA sounded great on FSN except for the audio difficulties FSN couldn't seem to iron our until the game was almost over.

Hats off to UT...they played a great game. I was very worried for most of the game until the last 5 min.

BG must move up in the rankings.

Lindsay Goldsberry was the difference tonight. 5 points 4 assists 4 rebounds and 5 steals. When she came in, we finally started getting some defensive stops and some shot clock violations. She took some shots (some cheap) but was a fighter. She did the dirty work once again. She was the scrapper we needed on a night when most others were flat!!!

That was fun to watch. I was worried for awhile. It seems that once we quit firing up threes on every possession and began to push it inside, good things happened. Kate was fantastic!

What was cool for me was that at no time was I really worried. I knew we could lose but I wasn't worried. It was like an arm wrestling match they jumped out on us quickly, but I knew we had the 'better arm.'

Fun game, tho. We should move up in the polls and RPI(?) hopefully.

Wow. What a great game that was!

After watching this game, it is clear that this team has the kind of heart that one rarely finds on any team. I challenge anyone that believes women's basketball to be sub-par to watch Kate Achter play a single game and still make that statement with a straight face. If they do, they are a liar of the highest class.

I have never been so nervous during a game as I was today. I have never been so satisfied with a win as I was today.

I agree completely with your comments about the team. The amount of passion and heart that this team has is astounding. No matter what happened early on, they would not break or even bend for that matter. Interesting that you mention Achter over the others. She is a big focal point for our team and how we play the game, but really its a whole team effort. Ali really carried us during that 2nd half stretch where we put it away, watching her play through that stretch was a treat.

As for the nervousness, this game had me getting ready to do the stomach churn early on, and you KNOW just how confident I am in this team. But seeing them come back the way they did, I had a feeling that they would, but the fact that they did just makes me even more of a fan of this team. These girls are giving everything that they can for their team and for their university every game.

I'm with Falcon30, I never felt worried. I was at last years Toledo game, and like I said to everyone on the sideline around me at half, it was just like last years game, except we were only down 2 at half this time.

I also love the heart of this team, and thats why I wasn't worried, I knew this team wouldn't let the arch-rival come into our house and end all the streaks, and thats what I love about this team. In a year and a half they have completly changed by opinion of women's basketball. Today was awesome, but I don't think the team will be getting 2 days in a row off anymore.

Yeah, I'm still waiting on Hammb on that. Hammb and other fans of like persuasion are missing out on something special while they torture themselves with watching the falcon men only. [/b]
