I could be mistaken, crazier things have happened. But I am again on the record as saying that Curt Miller will be roaming the sidelines for BGSU again next year. The Washington job scares me a little bit only in the fact that it on the west coast, and I think that he liked it out there when he was there. That is the only thing that scares me about his name with that job. But I still think that it's a non-issue in my book.
I wouldn't lose sleep over the U-Dub job.

forgive me if this is rather naive sounding...but isn't all of this a moot point? I don't recall anyone else besides Michigan having been granted permission to speak to Miller and if that's the case, the UC interview claim is either completely fabricated, or some serious NCAA violations were committed....not to mention BG would be screaming bloody murder about tampering. That goes for any other rumor that pops up about him leaving. Until someone has actually asked for, and received permission to speak to Miller, every single rumor associated with him leaving is false.....unless the rumor involves Michigan.

Maybe I'm simplifying this too much...but common sense says....no permission = no interview......no interview = not leaving.

That's exactly right. There has been some random message board chatter on other sites about Miller and Cincinnati, but I'd think we'd have read an article by now about that if it were true. I read about 20 articles about Michigan, and I googled for 20 minutes last night and couldn't find hide nor hair about Miller and UC other than rumors and guesswork. Either both sides kept it very well covered-up, or it just didn't happen.

Michigan is the only school on record as going after Miller even a little bit, so that's the only job that should be seriously discussed. Most think they're going to go with Merchant at this point.

I don't believe anything I read on a message board unless I know the person or they have a link. Hell, somebody came on here a couple weeks ago and said Miller was going for sure to Penn State, like they had some inside info or something. Miller was never even close to their radar.

Just because there have not been articles written about Curt's on-campus interview at UC, does not mean it didn't happen.

Because Curt has the "out clause" for Cincinnati, I am not sure they needed permission and if they did, they certainly were granted it.

You can either believe me or not. But Curt was on-campus for a day last week and interviewed for the job. Some say he left Cincinnati as the leading candidate. All the talk in Cleveland this past weekend was about Curt & UC.

If you choose not to believe me, it's no hair off my chest. Life goes on.

In the end....I am just happy he is still here.

Will give you one more rumor to chew on while I am posting.....if the Cal coach leaves for Duke, we can go ahead and start the speculation of Curt getting a look out there.

Happy Thursday!

Have at it. :)

Like I said before, I'll believe it when I see it in an article. It's certainly not improbable that he interviewed there, was offered the job, and turned them down for one of umpteen reasons I've mentioned previously.

OK. Here's the deal on Cincinnati. Miller was offered the job, but the salary was so low he declined. End of story.

I'll just go one step further and declare that until some proof is shown or someone with unquestioned sources or knowledge (HoustonFalcon for example) steps forward and confirms this was the case, the whole "he interviewed at Cincinnati" take should be considered a complete and total fabrication. If I see proof, I will give a very sincere apology but until then, I just don't buy it for even a mili-second.

At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter whether he did (allegedly) interview elsewhere or did not. The Bowling Green women's team will be taking the floor in 2007-2008 with yet another very good team, looking for a 4-peat, with Curt Miller as their head coach.

8492, this thread started on Tuesday night with that announcement before it happened. Did you read the beginning or even the middle of the first page of this thread? Not trying to be mean, really I'm not.

Yes, I read your early post and subsequent confirming posts and I truly thought the UC horse was dead. Yet, today it kept raising it's head. My post was merely an attempt to help put it to rest. Sorry. It was either that or a crack about an African swallow.
