Falcons Zap Zips 88-56

Post by Slugathor »

Everyone played, most getting points. Four players in double digits. Radio announcers said play was sloppy in second half. Any comment from those who were there?

Noticed Kent State beat Ohio in OT tonight. Thought Ohio was preseason favorite in East Divison. I believe Buffalo also beat Miami tonight. Will be traveling up for Saturday's game against the Bobcats.

We'll be winning the East again. Maybe not 15-1, but I think BG is in pretty good shape to contend for the MAC title. It's nice to reload instead of rebuild.

Akron will be a much better team when we go there the last game of the season. Those freshman guards have a lot of potential.

Great to get that first MAC win to get all the freshman acclimated to conference play. Big test coming up Saturday with Ohio coming in, but we got lucky in scheduling to have the first two MAC games be at home.

Excellent result! Way to go, BG. Coach Miller is now within 8 wins of Fran Voll's all time record for wins at BG.

I finally get a chance to see the team next Wed night at Kent State.

BEAT OHIO!!!

Piss - I was really hoping the Kent game would fall on a Saturday so I could drive up. @ Akron is a Wednesday too.

Shoot...Mrs. Freak will be out of town next week for a couple days and I may not be able to make the Kent game now...I will try, though.

What the heck is wrong with Curt Miller? If he had played Prochaska and Kate the whole way they would have both scored more than 20 points, Prochaska would have had a double double and she might be the all time leader in that category by the time she graduates if given an opportunity. Kate would have had 16 assists. What do we care what people in Akron might think? Hey in Tulsa they'd say, "It's all about the records." Even Ryan in the Blade apparently has no problem with it per his blog. I say again what is wrong with Curt Miller? ;-)

Hummm...I wonder if McCoy made the trip, and if so, did she shake hands with Coach Kest after the game?

That encounter would make Bill Belichick/Eric Mangini seem like a tea party.

Akron game

Post by falconwomenbball »

It was a home game. Yes, Niki was there on the bench. She went through at game's end and shook hands. I didn't notice the interaction between her and Coach Kest. No, she probably won't be at the game at Akron as she doesn't travel on the road at all with the team. I would guess that is it is against NCAA regulations for transfers to travel.
