19-13 overall record...played a pretty challenging OOC sked and beat some big name teams.
Their Center is Allyssa DeHaan, who is 6'9"? She averages 14.5 pts a game and almost 8 boards a game. Also, she has 128 blocks on the year...4 per game. MSU has 4 others listed at 6'1".
Aisher Jefferson played at Dayton Chaminade-Julienne HS and is a JR. Didn't Goldsberry attend that school?
Pretty girl Suzy Merchant is in her 1st year at MSU.

Didn't we play Iowa State @ Ames people who went said it was a great atmosphere. These freshmen are closer to sophomores & are just coming into their own with the offense. They really don't know to be rattled or anything else but go out & play---would you like to face Kate or Whit every day? The freshmen asked for mercy from Whit @ the beginning of the year, got none, now Kate's in their grill. Bring on the crowd. We'll have one too. Yeah it's their home game but they know we travel well based on the NCAA 1st & 2nd round last year. We'll be just fine--- this is all extra & soooooo sweet.. 8) 8) 8)

MSU after Dehann actually isn't all the that big except maybe at the guard spots with several at least 5'9 or 5'10 with one 5'4 pg. After the 6'9,6'7, 6'6 girl or however tall she is , there just a lot of 6'0 girls although it seems we'll see a few mismatches at the 2 and 3 spots more often in this game. Posts are about even with ours taking away of course DeHann. The athleticism that MSU has at the those 2 and 3 spots will probably hurt us a bit. Breske just needs to run DeHann ragged up and down the floor all night as she should tire easily. The main thing will be to not get frustrated when DeHann blocks of a few of our shots early. We just need to be creative with how we attack the paint. Fatigue will also be a factor here too. Miller may have to dig a bit deeper into the bench to keep the starters fresh to keep the energy level up to stay in the game. Hope we bring another strong contingent to the Breslin Center.

Just going by the listing on the MSU athletic site. And if she is a beanpole, she is in for a difficult challenge with Breske....check out this photo from the S-T:

Dehaan is a lot closer to 6-9 then 6-6. She was listed as 6-7 in High School and has reportedly grown some each year since. Her family is reported to be gigantic with a 6-11 brother, Dad at 6-8 or above and Mom over 6 feet. Anyway she is slow and sometimes lethargic but still imposing just by standing there with her arms up. She can be a defensive force so I wouldn't get too giddy in indicating what Breske may or may not be able to do. I doubt if there will be that much pushing down low. This game will have to be won by outside shooting and speed.

The thing that could get frustrating and that the team is going to have to adjust to is that DeHann with her freakish long arms can probably block most of not all inside shots without leaving her feet , completely negating the effects of a pump fake. As I said before we will have to be creative with how we attack the paint. If we settle for outside shots and 3's alone we will get beat and handily unless we are able to really break out one of our really good shooting performances. Right now our outside shooting is not where it needs to be to beat MSU from outside only.
Achter has made a career of driving to the hoop and finishing in traffic or getting to the foul line, but it may be a little tougher with the long arms of Dehann in there. Let's hope the 3pt shooting improves today. Prochaska has been in little slump recently. I think that ends today. This is the type of environment she thrives in.

The good news is, Kate played pretty darn well against Alison Bales, so we know she can do it.

I firmly believe that if Tara was a mere 2in taller she could dunk easily. But who cares its still only 2 pts right? 
I wouldn't be the least big shocked if Tara still wins the tip against DeHann.
