Please tell me we're putting them up in the corner in section A or something like that. When Dayton came here in the WNIT 1st round last year they put Dayton's band right next to ours behind the basket and it was a DISASTER. The two bands tried to play over one another on several occasions and it was like loud clanging noise in the terrible acoustics of AA. Besides, our pep band deserves better than to have to share the behind the basket area with a visiting team's band.

Is this common practice? I mean, we earned our top seed, should we really have to listen to the visiting team's band in our OWN arena?? Nothing against IU, I just didn't know that this was a possibility.....

But yeah, we should put them up in the corner. Or maybe the lobby. Or tell them the game will be played at the Rec Center instead.

Should be an AWESOME atmosphere for women's BB tonight, I'm so pumped. What time is everyone getting there? I think the gates open at 6???

I was thinking of trying to get there sometime between 6 and 6:15 or so. Definitely early as I would like to secure a spot that is close to the floor, but where I still get a good sight line.BgWaRrIoR wrote:Good call. I absolutely agree that it is going to be a great atmosphere. Saw what I assume was an IU bus pulling up to AA this morning, and that started pumping me up even more. Should be a really fun game to attend, with the number of people that are expected to be there, both bands, and two really good teams on the floor.
Go BG!

i am gonna be there about 5:30 or 5:45 cause when i got there sunday there was a line just to get in so i am definitely getting there early and hope that the two bands don't have to be next to each other cause that would suck, put them somewhere else
There can be only ONE!

I fully expect to see both bands sitting side by side, just like last year. Remember, this is postseason play, in a tournament sponsored by the NCAA. I believe they regulate what can and cannot be done, not BG's athletic department. I guess we will see how it plays out in a few hours, and however it plays out, it is really not a big deal, except for the band members and cheerleaders/dance team who will be pretty crowded.
