MAC tourney and injuries
MAC tourney and injuries
With the all-or-nothing MAC tournament approaching, is anyone concerned about Prochaska's and Pontius' ailments while playing in a 3 consecutive day scenario? With Prochaska not able to practice fully because of her foot issue, I'm worried she won't be able to make it through the tournament.Coach Miller has said recently that the foot is bothering her more now.

The women's MAC Tournament is not 3 consecutive days. It is played Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Not a big difference but a difference none the less. Am I concerned? Not really. Minutes played will be managed by the coaching staff. Tracy is playing between 20 & 25 minutes per game right now. Lauen is a warrior & will play as many minutes as needed. Lauren's foot did bother her more against OU but she still played 34 minues. Will the rest of the team need to step up? Certainly they will, but I have every confidence in all of the players.

If Tracy comes out and hits her first group of shots, she is going to be just fine. If she misses her first group of shots, don;t look for her to have a good day. Right now, I think it's more of a mental game with Tracy than anything else. Once she gets her confidence back, she is going to be fine.

On the thread about today's game against Miami, there is alot of talk about resting Prochaska more or even not playing her at all in the final game. I agree. And I hope Coach Miller will give the idea some serious consideration. The MAC tournament is all that matters.
