Cullop may eventually be the best coach in MAC history. But she has to get past the WNIT first.
Not until she equals what Coach Miller has done...and she's got a long way to go to do that.

Sorry Freak, that's exactly what I was implying. Cullop may be a helluva coach, but she's not done anything close to what Miller has accomplished. Or Bob Lindsay for that matter.

I guess I was looking at it from a current perspective. But, you're right. Cullop has (hopefully) a lot more years to build her legacy even if she will probably move from Toledo relatively soon. I know Lindsay is the dean of MAC women coaches and it's amazing how Kent always seems near 20 wins every single year. As for Packard, I am surprised at how Ball State has struggled given their impressive run 3 years ago but I am sure they are due to rebound soon. Plus, she is quite easy on the eyes...

It's cool RF...Cullop is a hell of a coach in her own right.

I think this decision comes down to Curt and Vic Schafer. Vic has been a long time assistant with Gary Blair, and is his "defensive coordinator". He has been waiting for an opportunity be a head coach, and I think this might be the right one. He has major recruting ties to Texas, and some in New Mexico. He is coming from a team that just won the National Championship. He has previous head coaching experience, and is just a really good guy who does things the right way.

And then there is Curt. A proven winner, has a history with the AD, has done a very good job of recruiting talent to fit the system year in and year out. He also does things the right way and is just a genuine nice guy. I think if Curt doesn't get the job, it will come down to Vic coming off of a national championship, and his recruiting ties to the area.

What happened to loyalty? What about Family? Curt said that the team and the fans are like one big family! what happened? If for sure that he does leave lets hope that Jennifer Roos stays and becomes the new head coach because at least then we might actually have a decent chance at having a good season! if we get another coach that doesn't know there @** from a hole in the ground we are going to suck! but no matter what i am still going to all home games!
There can be only ONE!

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Dustin??? Going to ALL home games??? I can recall THREE home games you were not at last year and I know Metz can confirm that for two of those games. So before you post more lies and bogus letters in the Sentinel-Tribune take a look at yourself in the mirror. and maybe next year when you get your new seat in the Stroh maybe you should ask for the standing room only section that way you can stand for the whole game.

I know why Dustin stands at all the games...if he sits he's going to suffer even more brain damage....

If Curt wants the gig, I hope he lands it. He's done so much for the program here...like it or not, the New Mexico job would be a bigger stage. Curt deserves the chance to succeed at the highest level possible.

Good luck, Curt Miller

What about family? Of course its like the average American family- you stick around for awhile then you leave. Get divorced, go off to college, grab a life of your own- sounds like family to me.

I just heard the other day that the 7-year itch is the new 3-year itch. We have had Miller for both, but his demise is greatly exaggerated or whatever Mark Twain said.

Personally, I think Denise should stay TWO more years for 30 and out, but she probably doesn't feel that way or care.

It's been suggested that Miller might be negotiating a raise for himself and his assistants. If he can get double money for everybody, himself included, then what's to keep him from going? Plus, maybe the cold is finally getting to him. I think I'll stay here, because I'm still fond of the lake in winter and summer for that matter although my living family is now gone. Besides, I want to follow Lex, Danielle and Chrissy for the next 2 and 3 years and Jill and Deb and Logan. Okay, I'm hooked.

Dustin, you seem to have little grasp on the real world. While everybody at BG wants Curt to stay, he ultimately has to make the decision which best affects HIS future - not ours. If that decision is to stay here, fantastic him (and us)! If that situation is to leave for another job, fantastic for him! It is his life and he needs to live it how he sees fit. Sure, I selfishly want him to remain here because he is a fantastic coach and a fantastic person; however, he has served our university and our community a extremely well for the past 10 years, and has certainly made quite the resume for other positions. If he leaves, I wish him the best of luck wherever he goes. He is a class act and will be successful anywhere.
