I don't care much about the bag checks, ticket checks, or security people. They check my purse and my ticket and I'm not inconvenienced in the least. Administrative security checks are completely legal and I actually give kudos to the university for wanting to maintain a more professional image with the new basketball arena.

But, really, what is wrong with checking signs? Remember when a few students from a rival school brought in handcuffs and a sign that says "Where's Nikki?" in response to Nikki McCoy's suspension? Surely Falcon fans were upset. I'm also sure fans from that rival school would not endorse the actions of those few students, who gave their school a bad image. If your signs are appropriate and sportsman-like, then you shouldn't have any problem having them checked for the benefit for everyone, to protect the image of our university.
