I am excited for this game, I wish I could be there but I will have to watch on STO instead.

That girl always tries to stary a fight, she throws elbows, swears, complains. Needless to say she is not lady like. She has been this way since day 1 at CMU. How she was not involved in the fight last month against OU I have no idea. I for one thought she was the one who started the incident. She will definitely test the patience of our girls. She will also try and get Havel and Rogers to get some cheap fouls. She is the most physical girl in the league.

Based on her dirty tactics and lack of ethics lm guessing CEO of a Fortune 500 company.

The way I see it, CMU doesn't defend very well at all. BG will get their looks. If the Falcons defend well and don't give a lot of 2nd chance opportunities, this game should be a cinch. We should be well rested and the Chippewas tired, which doesn't benefit them since they usually play a high-tempo attack. Maybe they're used to being tired, but I really think BG has every advantage here. Just need to execute.

Should be a cinch huh????? Tell that to our men's program. We were a 14 pt favorite the other night. You cannot assume they will be tired. On the other hand we haven't played in 10 days. With spring break could not practice with our normal practice players. Since in Cleveland don't get to practice just shoot arounds. This will not be as easy as you may think.
It would be intellectually dishonest to compare our men's team to our women's team. The men have no history of success in the MAC tournament whatsoever, and within the past decade of play they have been a threat to win the thing twice, and one of those years was 2002. Only once since Dakich's 3 day excursion to Morgantown have they had a seed above #5 in said tournament. They don't have the dominant track record that our women do, the 7 regular season championships, 5 tournament championships, a trip to the sweet 16-type of pedigree. Only once in the past 8 years have the women lost prior to the finals of the tournament, and they usually don't lose period.

To lose to a team that didn't even have a winning record in MAC play this season would be out of character for BG women's basketball. Face it, if we lose today, this will be the worst tournament defeat we've had in Curt Miller's tenure as coach. Maybe my expectations of this program are too high, but the fact of the matter is that BG is the best team in this conference, they proved it over the course of the season. Toledo and EMU are right on our heels, but CMU is not.

You do realize CMU played half of its season without its best player. Also 3 girls were suspended for two games. CMU should have about 5 more wins. You seem to underestimate this team. They took us to OT in our only game with them. They beat Purdue. We lost to Purdue. I expect us to win a close game but I would not call it a CINCH like you think it may be. I hope I'm wrong and we win by 15. 10-10 at first media time out.

Anyone know why the blue and gold ribbons on the uniforms? Tribute to the three students killed in the car accident? Or support for the two still in the hospital?

BTW - CMU #3 just mugged Chrissy.

I'm not at the game, nor do I actually know...but I would guess it is to support the students in the car accident. They were members of Alpha Xi Delta whose colors are blue and yellow.

They said on the STO broadcast that this was the case.

Yes. The announcers just made mention of the ribbons a few moments ago. They did not mention the significance of the colors though. Thanks for noting that.

Just caught a break that Alexis Rogers wasn't thrown out of the game for throwing elbows. Howver, she did pick up her 4th foul with 11 minutes left. THey threw WMU's Stainbrook out for the same thing last night.

Central Michigan just too athletic for us. They only have one senior that contributes. Their roster has 4 freshman and 5 sophmores. Could be seeing a changing of the guard in the MAC today.
