What exactly are you referring to? She chose Gulf Coast over 3 other schools: BGSU (Curt Miller's previous team), Indiana (Curt Miller's current team), and Northern Illinois. Somehow, I don't think the coach had anything to do with that one.

Well, let's see. by my count, we have at least one scholarship available and this is NLI signing period until 5/16. True, since Brittney is already taken, I don't see anyone coming out of the wings, but since we have no coach, it's going to be tough to take advantage of it anyway.

It might be in our best interests to wait until we have a new coach before recruiting for the spring. At least that way the new coach recruits a player that fits in his or her new system. So if the deadline isn't until 5/16, I'm not too concerned. I'd rather they take their time to find a the best coach possible.

Also, I don't see any need to rush and sign anyone during the late period, unless it's a player that the new head coach has been recruiting for some time. As Someone mentioned in another thread, teams have survived with a small roster. In fact, I think our sweet 16 team had 12 players.
