BG v BSU

Post by BGSUE »

BG 30 in MAC BSU is 2-1 beating EMU & KSU lost to Akron

show 2 who score in double figures one really good free throw shooter a couple of really tall people who can play

BG has its work cut out for them can't teach height just stick with game plan

make shots 2's 3's & lay-ups

rebound both ends

shoot more free throws than they attempt

BiG defense

figure out refs fast

Have fun Be safe

Ball State might not have the record of some of their past squads, but they, much like CMU, have a history of being slow starters in non-conference play and then turning it up a notch once MAC play starts. This will be a test for the Falcons. If they are caught looking ahead to CMU, BG could easily lose this game.

Just returned from BSU

score 72-61 Justinger career-high 18 pts Rogers 15, Halfhill 13

Slow start but made adjustments and hit shots

Some foul trouble as the game was called differently than our previous two

Weathered that storm

Best way to get summary of game is to listen to Jennifer's post game interview at BGSUFalcons.com

Mantra is one game at a time and that's what was done

Now on to the next one with 2 days prep.........glad these women are smart and coachable

Good win over a talented team. They were relentless defensively, luckily found their offensive rhythm and staved off a late run by Ball State toward the end.

For the first ten minutes there must have been 10-15 shots within a couple feet of the basket that were missed. If they work on finishing around the basket and finishing in traffic no one will be able to stay with them.

My first reaction after looking at the stats....FORTY EIGHT FOULS called? MAN! Those refs must've been getting a special bonus deal...not saying there weren't fouls as I didn't see or hear the game, but seems a bit over the top compared to games I HAVE seen.

61 the refs called enough fouls to affect the flow of the game. At times it became boring then intense because some many players on both teams had

4. They anticipated some things happening that didn't happen & let things go that did. I think they confused & confounded both coaches and players.

If you compare this game to the previous two, it's like night and day, the amount of fouls that were called or ignored.

Needless to say, I wonder how the game Saturday will be called. if they call it close it could be a foul shooting fest. If they let them play someone may get hurt.

This is all opinion by me but I've watched many games & I thought this season it was hands-off guarding, move your feet ,no reaching

Time will tell
