Roster Omission?

Post by fredthefalcon »

I see that the new roster is up on BGSUFalcons.com. No Katrina Salinas included. I know she was out all year with an injury but anyone have an update?

Going back to be closer to home, from what I understand.

Good luck to her. I believe that this will be a big loss for depth at the point for the Falcons.

Definitely a non-traditional roster. Of the 12 scholarship players, there are 7 guards, 1 guard/forward, 2 forwards and 2 centers.

We've been a guard 3-point oriented team for years now. I think the staff looks for players that can handle the ball and shoot the three no matter their position. Two of the Freshman (Puk and Webb) reportedly played multiple positions in HS and both are six footers. Still, we may be in trouble against big, banging teams. Seifker is one young player that will have a much larger role to fill.

I've seen incoming FR Baer play on BCSN a few times...she's going to be good.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I don't think Katrina would have played point if she would have stayed. She would have played on the wing this past season if she wouldn't have hurt her knee. Our point guard position will be fine. Rachel will keep developing. Kennedy Kirkpatrick will play at the point too. Rachel Myers, incoming freshman will play some point. We'll be young at point. But I have confidence in the players and the coaching staff to make the best decisions for the team.

Good luck Katrina!! We'll miss you.
