BG loses to Buffalo 63-50.

BG made only 5 field goals in the 2nd half.

BG now drops to the #9 seed and it doesn't get easier with the Rockets coming to the Stroh on Wednesday.

This season is looking dismal. Nothing else to say. 63-50. Nobody has confidence to shoot the baa, except Tibbs.

Basketball at BGSU has collapsed. Can't shoot, can't rebound, can't make foul shots, can't pass, can't defend and no leadership. Will BGSU win another basketball game this year?

Watched both men's and women's games on ESPN3..... Dont know if i've seen worse basketball played by 2 teams. Scored HS ball for 25 yrs. for a (then) lousy team. Not sure if these guys could take a HS team now. Hell, just foul em! ](*,)

As for the ladies, an early 11 pt lead....and lose by 13... Get killed on boards...seem afraid to shoot... What has happened to both programs? ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Well, it took only three days for Coach Roos to break her promise to the Falcon faithful, that the Falcons would play a better game than they did on Wednesday against WMU. I'm sure she was sure she would be able to light a motivational fire underneath her players, but it's hard to start a fire under a wet log. My bottom line is this, plain and simple........we do not have a very good team. That is not to say we don't have some good talent, because we DO have a few capable players, but not nearly enough. The talent that I'm referring to is that we have players who are good shooters. I said shooters, not scorers. We need great scorers, great rebounders, great passers, great defenders, great leaders, and great poise. To me, poise means playing under pressure with a calm demeanor. The women appear very easily rattled under pressure, and I believe that stems from a gross lack of confidence. However, it's hard to be confident when everyone else in the MAC, including the opposing cellar-dwellers, sees you as the conference "whipping boy". Right now, most of our opponents are better than we are, not necessarily because they have gotten better, but because we have gotten worse. It's obvious to most here that our women's program has gone into a serious slide. Is it the players' fault? Partially. Is it the coaching staff's fault? MOSTLY! Roos needs to recruit players who can improve every year as they move through the college ranks, players with raw talent and star potential. Sadly, most of her current roster likely have already peaked out in their abilities and will see little or no further improvement. A player's progression at the D1 college level weighs heavily on the coaching staff, and if it's not happening, then those at the top are not accomplishing that which they are getting paid to do. We are WELL beyond the point of making excuses for the players OR the coaches. So Roos and Company needs to get this ship turned around, for the program, the players, and the fans, and save the broken promises for the politicians. Come on, Falcons, let's do a number on those Rockets! Talons up!

I totally agree with you elmerfudd. I am getting so tired of losing!!!!!
I mentioned to the person sitting next to me on Saturday " Remember how when Curt Miller was our coach and we put almost everyone away early in the second half? Kind of like how everyone does with us now."
It was explained to me that is happening because now there are just too many good players!!!! It used to be we got all of them but now there are just way too many. Are you kidding me???? That is the explanation for why we look so bad? Where are our good players if there are so many of them?? ](*,)
Right now I am looking forward to March and getting this dismal season behind us!

TALONS UP!!!!!
