Women starting to suck. 2nd quarter, tied. 15-15 Myers having her usual awful game. Carly's in, so that is good

Buffalo won today so BG needs to win to stay tied with the Bulls. Buffalo holds the tie breaker so even with a win BG remains #9 seed. Next weeks game against Buffalo could be for the #8 seed. Looks like NIU, Miami and Kent pretty much locked up seeds 10, 11 and 12. Of course BG needs to beat Kent. Currently BG up by 5 in the 2nd quarter.
Re: BG at Kent State...
BG up 31-28 @ half. Tibbs with 16 pts. Thank Goodness for her. Cole with 4 pts and 2 rebounds in 4 minutes. No one else more than 3 pts. Justinger only 1 shot in 12 minutes of action.

Here's a thought coach Roos. GET MYERS OUT OF THERE!
She's about 2-9 and looks like crap.
3rd quarter BG-15 point lead is 7 48-41 at the end of 3.

Re: BG at Kent State...
BG wins 65-55.
BG should beat Miami. Buffalo should beat Kent.
BG and Buffalo probably each lose to Akron and Ohio.
BG Buffalo winner next week should determine who finishes 8th and 9th

Women get the needed win at KSU, 65-55. Ms. Tibbs with 24 and Justinger 12, but 1-4 from the FT line. Myers with 9 on (not so) stellar 3-12 shooting.
Next up, Buffalo

Hoops Fan,
It is so nice that you know everything. Do you attend practice? Do you attend road games as well as home games?
Yes, Rachel struggled with her shot today. However she made the most important shot in the game today. Kent had cut the lead to three. Rachel stepped up with a three. BG then got a stop and pushed the lead to 8 and put the game away. Rachel can score. She scored 24 at Central.
I just imagine you are perfect at work. I hope your bosses don't criticize you in public as much as you criticize the coaches and players. We are missing Erica Donavan and now her replacement. We are very young I think have a bright future. I will continue to support this team at home and to as many away games as I can get to.
I wish some of the posters that post on the womens, mens, and hockey threads that the players and coaches invest much time and effort to be successful. They are trying. Is it frustrating, yes, very. It is during these times they need our support more. Also to other posters, I think criticizing a players appearance is cruel and rude.
Go BG!

Spare me the righteous indignation....it's a fan forum. People are entitled to their opinions. If things seem to harsh...maybe you should follow Oberlin sports. I'm sure they have plenty of safe zones set up to shield you.
If your last comment is aimed at me and my take on Baer...you are off base. I'm not criticizing anyone's appearance....I'm simply offering an opinion re where an athlete is vs where they might be. In HS she looked like a solid 3 or possibly a 4 in the MAC if she was viewed as a stretch 4.
She hasn't played up to her potential....I think she's a tad heavy and that will inevitably have a negative impact on her ability to defend anyone on the floor. She's not long enough or powerful enough to defend most5's and she isn't quick enough to defend away from the basket.
That's an observation re her ability to perform functionally....it's not a comment on her appearance. Grow up...
BTW...if she's been hampered by injuries...I stand corrected. Had more than my share and I know how difficult it can be to train effectively around a physical impairment.

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Flipper,
You make a comment that this is a fan forum and yet you tell me to grow up when I state my opinion. You can't have it both ways. I am allowed my opinion and I shared it. By the way, I don't know if Sarah is hurting badly or not, but she is wearing a knee brace.

Great the women got a much needed win yesterday. They continue to fight through adversity, which is a good sign.

Hockey John,
Thanks for the wakeup call. I apologize to the group for my last post. I vented my frustration at the game, that we won no less, when I had no reason.
George Lang used to joke about what we'd do if you had spectators at your job yelling at you all the time. Geeze, why did you fill out that tax return like that. You missed a deduction dummy.
I can't coach, nor do I have a desire to do so. Watching 7 years of Louis Orr, 1 1/2 years of Dee Knoblaugh, and last year's women's team made me wonder what happened to BG basketball, but it's just a game. I'll try to remember that from now on.
That doesn't mean I will always remember to post happy things.
