BG vs Miami

BG up 20 on the Redhawks

In other games Buffalo currently up on Ohio with the minutes left. A Buffalo win will more than likely wrap up the #8 seed and BG the #9 seed

Buffalo goes to Athens and stuns the Bobcats. BG would need to win at Ohio and Akron and have Buffalo lose to Kent and Miami.

BG needs to win out and Buffalo needs to lose for BG to get #8 seed. Looks like the women will open the MAC tournament on the road.

BG wins by 20.

Justinger hits a 3 with 1 minutes left to give her 1000 points in her career. Congratulations!!!

BG still the #9 seed. Buffalo wins. Western loses. BG needs to win out at Ohio and Akron and either Buffalo or Western needs to lose twice in order for BG to get the #8 seed. Unlikely. BG will open the MAC Tournament either at Buffalo or Western.

After all games today, BG can do no worse than #9 seed. Buffalo and Western fighting it out for #7 and #8. BG, Buffalo and Western can do no better than 7,8, or 9.

In order for BG to get home berth, Western must lose both of its remaining games or Buffalo must lose both its remaining games AND BG must win both games, at Ohio and Akron.

Even if BG loses both games it still will be #9 seed as neither Kent, Miami or Northern can capture the #9 seed.

I slagged on Baer for needing to work on her conditioning in the past....I will say this on her behalf, she is a really good passer for a big. Every time I see her get minutes ..including yesterday...she makes an excellent feed to an open shooter. She sees the court well too. I could see her being a huge asset working the high post setting screens, making the correct pass on a give and go or facing the basket for a jumper.

Seifker made strides this year too....working with Tibbs and getting healthy really gave her a boost. I'm really going to miss Tibbs. She plays with an edge.

Flipper, we have three "bigs" coming off the bench right now, along with an injured Tunstall, and none of them are anywhere near the scoring threat that Tibbs is. The coaching staff needs to find a way to get those players more involved offensively, aside from just posting up and setting screens. Tibbs' style reminds me a lot of Alexis Rogers, with putting on various moves underneath, to popping threes when posting up high. We need post players who not only can rebound and block shots, but who also can consistently put up double digits in the scoring column. This team, aside from Tibbs, has had to live and die by the three, as our scoring threats inside are practically non-existent. We have a good amount of offensive potential returning next year, but if we don't beef up the scoring underneath after Tibbs leaves, then we could end up with a season similar to this year's, or worse. Ashley, Sarah, Maddie, and Abby are going to have to get a lot better, or Roo's recruits better be REALLY GOOD! Time will tell.
