Not bad at all! Except we beat Kent State 81-75, not 74-63.

Kansas State Big 12 25-6 14-2 16-1 8-4 Lost 1

SEATTLE (Ticker) -- Fresh off its first trip to the Big 12 title game, Kansas State is ready for its fourth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

The fourth-seeded Wildcats meet Mid-American Conference champion Bowling Green in a first-round game in the Kansas City Region on Saturday.

Kansas State has won six of its last seven but lost to Baylor in the Big 12 championship game, 68-55, on March 12.

Megan Mahoney led the Wildcats with 17 points and Kendra Wecker, the Big 12 Player of the Year, added 14 with 16 rebounds for the Wildcats. Both were selected to the all- tournament team.

Kansas State is playing in its ninth NCAA Tournament and reached the Elite Eight in 1982. The Wildcats suffered a second-round loss to Minnesota last season.

Bowling Green won its seventh Mid-American Conference tournament crown - its sixth as a No. 1 seed - with a 74-63 victory over Kent State on March 12, its 11th win in 12 outings.

Freshman Kate Archer scored 21 points and was named tournament MVP, while Liz Honegger had 20 and Carin Horne 17 for the 13th-seeded Falcons, who made 12 3-pointers. Archer and Honegger were named to the all-tournament team.

Bowling Green has not played in the NCAA Tournament since losing a first-round contest to Creighton in 1994 and has a 1-6 tournament record.

Kansas State won the only meeting against Bowling Green, 72-60, on December 1, 1989.

Who's Kate Archer. I get real damn tired of things like this from ESPN. Like when they used to put up Keon's name during football games as Keon Newsom. I wish they would show us a little more respect and do some research. Beggars can't be choosers though. I am still happy for our increased coverage the last few years.

No mention of Megan Mahoney being out for K-State in that article, either.

We have a shot...maybe a two in five shot ;)....of winning this game, now.
