BG hosts Wooster 114-35

Post by Siborg »

A blowout from beginning to end. I was a little surprised for the starting lineup. I didn't see the game but did follow the stats a bit. BG had 33 steals and caused Wooster 42 TOs.

5: T. Ellis, dominated Q1. I think she may have had a double-double in Q1(edit, nope). 19 points and 12 rebounds in 16 minutes overall
Cook and Moxley also did well so from the stats it looks like we dominated underneath. 44 points and 24 rebounds in total.
4: J. Bland-Fitzpatrick
3: J. Donahue
2: K. Miller
1: P. Kohler

Everyone but Woods played and scored.

Gerken also did not play. I assumed she is either still bothered by last season's injury or they were just being careful. Anyone know more?

Good catch. Yeh, I'd guess she is not fully recovered yet.

Totally boring game. I learned nothing about our team other than seeing player that have never played for BG. In my opinion we should have better opponent's so we measure where are team might need to improve before the season actually starts. Also charging fans for this game and parking seems wrong to me since it was only an exhibition game.

I think they were just being careful. With 10 days between the exhibition & the opener, it was probably a good idea to let her sit this one out & be ready to go for the regular season.
