I had high hopes for him but it's starting to look like never for him.
I agree. Ya think 8 years at South Carolina and wow, he should kick tail here. But maybe that's why he was an assistant that whole time.

That was definitely my thinking too.

Miriam (Justinger) Roe has been named girls' coach for Perrysburg.

I suspect that at this time of year, the roster holes will be filled with transfers and/or JUCOs. Coach Fred has had limited success doing this in the past outside of Porter.

If so this will be Lexi's sixth year of play in college plus another year in which she missed an entire season due to preseason injury.

Moschen to UTEP. Surprisingly she is the first BG transfer to find a home. Had a decent outside shot but to me she appeared to be pretty slow and out of shape in the little time she played.

Another program just buzzing with excitement. Maybe DVDM can make up for the hire and do ANYTHING to create some form of publicity for this program. Talk about something that needs one of his photo ops now more than ever.

So...we bring the kid in and let her work for a season and a half to improve as a player and acclimate to college and then she takes off to go to a bigger school the first chance she gets and we get nothing in return for the investment of time, effort and energy.

WTF are we doing here?

Imagine the resources spent on this player alone. 60 total minutes against the Lourdes of the college basketball world. Is this part of making the university better overall? Is this part of the student experience? Did anyone ever hear a single word from Chmiel about her in the 18 months she was with BGSU?

Maybe my memory is faulty, but back in the day, EVERY player got minutes, or so it seemed. We're talking Fran Voll and forward days. Maybe because the roster was thinner and we only had 10-12 players, but that's my memory. Now, any player that is good, plays a lot or they go into the portal and sit somewhere else. I guess that's the rot of free agency at the college level.

Fearne catches on at Wright State. For a 3 point specialist she did not shoot that well. Still wish her luck in her senior year.
