Re: Offseason 2026
Butler is going through a huge overhaul this offseason. Nine transfers out and a coaching change though the associate was promoted. Could be good or could be challenging.
Re: Offseason 2026
When does he plan on bringing any transfers in?

Re: Offseason 2026
That's a good question. Only 3 MAC WBB teams thus far have not signed a transfer according to WBBblog.com. BG, Akron, and Ohio. To be fair most teams have only signed one though Toledo and Miami have signed 4 and most of those are from major programs rather than mid-major or Division II. Coach Fred and his staff could just be concentrating on foreign players as 4 of the 5 commitments fit that profile. I wonder what the cost outlay is for going in that direction.
Re: Offseason 2026
I'm beginning to consider joining the players who entered the portal. Not much to look forward to in the coming season other than the hope that springs eternal.

Re: Offseason 2026
The trend continues. Signed 6'4" C Eugenia Ngungo from Angola. She played at Clarendon (TX) JC for 2 years. 5.2 PPG and 7.4 RPG. Poor FT shooter at 57%. Clarendon was 33-3 last year with a whole bunch of foreign players including 4 from Angola. Welcome to Clarendon North Eugenia.

Re: Offseason 2026
Denza Allen , the recruit who mysteriously disappeared from the BG roster before last season, has transferred to Valpo. Didn't know this but Valpo was 0-32 last year. Not the first Division 1 WBB team to finish winless but the one with the most losses.
Re: Offseason 2026
Hope they're on the schedule next year. This program could use some wins.fredthefalcon wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2026 7:09 am Denza Allen , the recruit who mysteriously disappeared from the BG roster before last season, has transferred to Valpo. Re: Offseason 2026
Feels like a rather significant problem that the program can't recruit domestic talent.

Flipped to Stetson. Hunting NIL???fredthefalcon wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2026 1:33 pm Moschen to UTEP. Surprisingly she is the first BG transfer to find a home. Had a decent outside shot but to me she appeared to be pretty slow and out of shape in the little time she played.

Or UTEP actually saw her play.fredthefalcon wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2026 11:02 amFlipped to Stetson. Hunting NIL???fredthefalcon wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2026 1:33 pm Moschen to UTEP. Re: Offseason 2026
Trend keeps on keeping on. 6'2" F Carolina Silva out of Portugal. Six of Seven recruits are outside of not only the Midwest but also the US and North America. Coach Fred must be on to something. Wonder when he will actually sign a transfer again from a Division 1 School. I will say he has signed more size than in prior years so there's that.

Toledo signed 5 transfers from Az. St., Depaul, Iowa St, Long Beach State, and BC. Still waiting on Coach Fred aka Jennifer Roos II.fredthefalcon wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2026 10:02 pm Trend keeps on keeping on. 6'2" F Carolina Silva out of Portugal.
