Falcons drop first game 3-0....to CMU.
Chips shut out Falcons 3-0 in game 1 today. According to the Gametracker, BG had a 2-1 lead in the 7th and CMU just tied it up 2-2.
CMU has one on and 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th.

BG loses game 2 3-2 in 8 innings...
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
BG had a 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the 7th and the CHips scored to tie the game. Then CMU won the game in the bottom of the 8th with a HR off Liz Vrable. We just can't seem to beat this team in softball.
BG now 26-28, 11-10 MAC. Game 3 is tomorrow and the MAC Tourney is next week at Fireston Stadium here in Akron.

These were sickening games. The ladies had SO many chances to get runs in but just didn't make the plays. We had a ton of runners left on base in both games (usually with 0 or 1 outs) and then we just couldn't get good hits. I will say though, CMU is NOT the team they are made out to be. Both Vrabel and Gouge tore them up until the late innings when things started to snowball. Hopefully tomorrow will prove me right, but yeah, I was not impressed with them at all. GO BEEG!
