The first sentence just begs the question, "what happened?" How did their season end last year?

Out with it, girl.

Showed that picture to my sister's dance teacher, she just shook her head. I asked what she thought, and she said,"I am not even going to start." You KNOW it's bad when she does that! (Does anyone of you know the Cincinnati area studios, mainly eastgate/beechmont? If you do you might know where my sis takes dance.) So, the coach needs to LEARN what practice is, and then use the time accordingly.

I would like to know how their season ended as well! (Oh, BG may not have the best dance team, but I can think of 1 or 2 things BG excels in...)

My wife finally made more coherent comments on the image besides "oooof".

She likes their tops, but agrees with me that it shouldn't be worn with a kick routine. The only other nice thing she said was that she liked that their hair was all slicked back. It makes them look cleaner and more uniform...................uh, yeah.

I guess one of the reasons the foot are at different levels is because they were in the middle of kicking in a contageon (sort of a "round").

But STILL! Line is crooked, feet are all over the place, and it shows that they are struggling with the actual style of dance.

I know there was discussion about it before but I can't find the thread to help you out. If I remember correctly, others please help me out, the gist of the story was that there was some dissent between members of the team and university officials about hotels in Cleveland for the MAC tourney. In the end, I want to say 8 (or was it 12?) ladies quit the team, including several seniors and their captain.

It only matters in the dance world. These dancers get so worked up about nothing and don't realize it doesn't matter THAT much to us.

Golfer you best watch yourself... you'll get me angry with rhetoric like that. Anywho, I guess I can understand why they got upset, at the Indy Bowl, the hotel we stayed at(the MUMB) was SOOOO trashy. We almost had to shower in another room as the water had rust bits in it, and felt like sand too. The floor were uneven, and many rooms had broken toilets, etc... and it way a Days Inn or something like it. Good part was there was a C.S.Bell in front of it, made in my home town.

My post that stated "but does it matter?" was referring to how we don't care if they don't have the same leg heights, we like the scenery. I don't know any dancers that are getting worked up things or it only mattering in the "dance world," so what did you mean by that?

Alright gang... I always promised I wouldn't come on here (forgive me Mark), but you're treading on thin ice. Not all dance teams are just out there for the "T&A" aspect, despite popular beliefs. We all spend countless hours perfecting technique (get your minds out of the gutters) and presentation. If the dancers are serious about dance, then yes, it DOES matter.

We do get "worked up" (for a lack of a better term) over the details, but it's because it's important to us, so please don't trivialize it as "nothing."

Many thanks for listening... the Mr. just came home, so I have to get myself out of the dog house for registering. ;) (I said, get your minds out of the gutters!)

Don't get me wrong, I used to be friends with some of the girls on the team and know what they go through in practices. I totally respect all the time they put into what they do, but hey, I just like watching no matter how good they are :D

Metz, I don't fault you at all and at the same time, I'm also not naive to what men "appreciate" about dance teams. Heck, back in the day (geez, I'm old), I thrived on "cat calls" when performing because I knew I was doing "well" (again, lack of a better term in both instances. And no, I wasn't a stripper, although my terminology sure makes it sound that way. Just a Texas drill teamer from the 80's.) My reply was more in reference to Golfer's post (sorry Odie, nothing personal.) :-\

Take care!

Re the "technique" issue...being cute is no excuse to be sloppy. Do the routines the right way or go sit your ass down in the student section with the rest of the girls who are jumping around randomly.

On the topic of bellies, if you have 15lbs of spuds, don't go buying a 10 lb sack....that's why you won't see me in a belly shirt..ever...well, maybe if you give me a few Jagerbombs...
