BO, I agree wholeheartedly. Watching those six walk out there to get their medals gave me goosebumps.
I'm not ashamed to admit that that moment brought a tear to my eye. I still don't think the magnitude of what actually happened today has really sunk in yet.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best team the MAC has ever seen. I had to keep reminding myself that we were playing today, essentially, wtih a 6 1/2 girl rotation (with Liz out for most of the game with the bum ankle). For us to literally dominate a very good Ball St. team (and a very classless Ball St. team...but thats another story entirely) was astounding. From the training staff, to the coaches, to the players, to the administration, it doesn't get much better than this team.

By chance, did anybody see that some EMU fans wrote on the back window of our buses yesterday? I saw the buses leaving the Q today, and on the back window of the bus it said "you can thank the refs, GO EMU, GO EMU".

Jealousy is a very ugly thing.

In fact I did. I just chuckled and said "if it wasn't for the refs they would have lost by 30." Sad, really.

Yep -- it's extremely tough to say otherwise based on the numbers.

I wish I knew what to say...wow. That's all I got. I had a blast the last 3 (4) days in Cleveland, and hopefully I'll be able to make a NCAA game (or two or three??). I've got a bunch of pictures to wade through, and I'll post some of the better ones on here as soon as my camera cooperates. Great Job Ladies!!!

I took my wife and two boys. If you ever get a chance go to events like these, go!. I was really proud to be a Falcon today. We got to sit in the first and second row almost on the floor underneath the basket on the BG end of the court. It brought back some good memories of MAC Championships in football.

Thanks ladies! Keep making us proud. By the way, we are so lucky to have coach Miller. Oddly enough my brother in law coached with him on his first coaching gig ever. Some 8th grade team in PA. Small world.

Final four here we come!

I heard some folks talking tonight during the men's game that Kate has a chance to do something next season that has never happened in the history of the conference.....women's or men's.......she has a chance to make the all tourney team 4 straight years. I was shocked to hear that has not yet happened. Even more shocked that fans at a men's game were talking about it. It's too early to really give serious thought to it but it's not unrealistic to keep in mind as the season rolls next year.

Barring an injury, I don't see how that doesn't happen.

I agree, the whole day was awesome, from the pregame party/rally, to the game, to the postgame and that moment. This was bu first time getting to C-Town for the tourney and the past two days have been awesome

I thought the most "unbelieveable" fact that came out, was that BG sold more tickets for the final game than all of the rest of the schools combined for the whole womens tournament!!!! That might perk the NCAA's interest also.
Way to go BG!

I'd be surprised if the same couldn't be said for the Tuesday or Friday turnouts. The arena was a sea of orange for those games as well.

As for the NCAA's interest....the only interest the NCAA will have is not good.....they MIGHT say....hey, they travel well so we can send them to a region farther away and their fans will still show up. It has zero bearing on the seed they get. The scenario I've heard most often over the last 4 days is if Ball St. happens to get an at large bid (which is now being mentioned as "better than 50/50), making the MAC a 2 bid league, BG will get a 5 seed but if the MAC is a 1 bid league, BG will be the #4 6 seed or #1 7 seed.

There is no way Ball State gets an at-large bid. They clinched that with their crappy performance yesterday.
Although we know BG deserves a 5-6 seed, if we get a 7 seed we should be happy, as long as it's not against a team playing at home.

Thats very cool to hear as well! :D I hope we can get a decently close NCAA 1st Rnd game so I can possibly make one. It'll be interesting to see what our seed is now. Ball St could've maybe helped themselves greatly by beating IU like we did instead of losing.
