Maybe I'll get flamed for this, but are these girls that good that he would want them at, say, Michigan? Or were they coming to BG because that is where their projected college skills top out at? I mean, the old Michigan coach didn't offer them scholarships or they probably would have been signed there already. So, what I'm saying is, why would Coach Miller want to bring them with him when he now has access to another level of talent?

Now, I could see some of these girls deciding not to go to BG if Miller leaves. But it would be to go to another MAC or similar school, not to follow Miller.
Many of the recruits in this class had multiple Big Ten and Big East offers on the table which they turned down to come to BG.
From what I understand we basically stole Jennings from OSU who had been recruiting her for three years. I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised when they see these girls take the court next year.
From what I've heard over on the Rebkell message board, Jennings wasn't the only player of ours OSU was after. Prochaska was getting a long look from OSU as well. Supposedly, some of the posters over there think Jennings and Prochaska came here because of the positive attitude surrounding the BG program, and the negative experience that many players have had under coach Jim Foster at OSU. The word on the street is that Foster really rips his players at times and kills their love of the game. As a result, OSU doesn't show intensity and passion at times, something that NEVER happens at BG. A perfect case in point is OSU's 1st round loss to Marist, where the buckeyes were just looking at each other to make something happen for much of the way.

Now I don't know how much of this is true or if most of it is just plain hogwash. But if it is true, our program's positive energy under Curt Miller might have helped us out in the recruiting battle against our in state brethren down route 23.

Joel -- I haven't said these conversations shouldn't be taking place. This is the perfect time to discuss such things.

The University has given the man the OK to talk to the University of Michigan...now is a pretty good time for this discussion.
