Ball game, BG wins it 79-77. How we won this giving up 20+ off rebs is unfathomable.

Good thing we are stellar at something and FT shooting has been lights out for us.

I didn't hear that but yeah that is un called for. Not sure what the reasoning for that statement was.

He was horrible and didn't do the job of a color commentator well at all in the bit of the game I listened to. I heard that comment, too, and thought it was incredibly inappropriate as well.

It's not an easy job to do, for sure, but the professionalism in that role was nowhere to be seen (or heard, I guess.) Play by play guy did a decent job when he could get a word in edgewise, though.

He was excited about the player that replaced her in the game today. He mentioned McCoy earlier in the game and that comment was not nearly as bad, but this one was low class!!

I agree. I had posted a rant on the fact that the color guy wouldn't shut up and needed to let the play by play guy just call the game, then retracted it because it sounded kind of nasty. I was just really frustrated that we couldn't watch this great game. It was just PAINFUL to listen to the color guy!!!!

Maybe it's a little harsh, but I could even hear him shouting and screaming from downstairs.

It wasn't much better on the telecast. They butchered names from start to finish. Only got the pronunciation of Lauren Prochaska right about half of the time, first and last names. They also stated the obvious, such as the team that makes plays in the last minute will win. Oh, really, I didn't know that!

They also mentioned Niki McCoy being suspended it seemed liked 40 times, maybe more.

Wow, what a game. Great to escape the "zoo" with a W. I don't know how in the world WMU missed those THREE baskets IN A FREAKING ROW there at the end of regulation - - but the basketball gods (at least the non-rebounding ones) were with us........

This is no big deal, but JEN UHL made the last steal of the game and threw the ball to LP who then was fouled - not GOLDS. It was great to see JEN have an EXCLAMATION POINT! there at the end of the game to put on her first career start!!

As I said in the other thread, he was lauding over the player that replaced McCoy most of the game. At the end, when the excitement level was so high, he made that totally UNCALLED for comment. Very low class and unprofessional, even if it was in the heat of the moment!!

I thought that as well, FB. Our players were driving to the hole and getting whacked with very few calls. The WMU players were barely getting touched and the whistle went off.

That last shot for WMU in regulation BARELY fell off the rim. BG won a hard fought game and I'll give WMU credit...they came to play today and tore us up inside.

But in the end, another BG victory!!!!! 20-2, 9-0 MAC!!!

The comment about Niki they are referring to was made during the radio broadcast.
