I hear.they have a consistent group of about 2,000 who come after halftime. Doesn't count for "total" attendance, but at least they get in free.

WHy would you care about marketing putting up advertisments for hockey? I figured that would be beneficial to you due to that fact that you want to boycott the the Ice Arena. Fairweather fan.....bgsufalcon24 wrote:Unfortunately I haven't seen the marketing people doing much of anything for Wednesday's game. They don't have signs on campus, they don't have the stuff at the Union tables, they don't even have the fliers on the tables in the dining halls right now. In fact, the marketing hasn't just been bad for women's basketball, its been almost a month since I've seen an advertisement for hockey. Thumbs down to marketing!

Oh, I'm a fairweather fan? I didn't see YOU at the IA for either of the games this weekend. Where were you? You didn't go home this weekend. I was at least there for Saturday's game, but you weren't there Friday or Saturday. And you're gonna call me out for being fairweather.svillefalcon wrote:WHy would you care about marketing putting up advertisments for hockey? Look, neither of us thinks the team is going anywhere, and we're both very frustrated about the team's direction. But before you start calling me out for not supporting the team, don't think that you are on some kind of high ground here.

Excuse me for having things to do. My friend that graduated last semester came up to visit so i decided to spend some time with them. Lets count up home many games you have been to and how many i went to. In fact i remember you calling me at the mens basketball game against ball state and you asked me what the score was, and i told you that we were winning and 10 minutes later you miraculously show up. I have been to every single sporting event that i could actually go to. and I will call you out on not supporting the teams because you openly don't support the hockey team. I would have been to the hockey games this past weekend, but situations didnt allow me. Atleast i go to all the games that I can go tobgsufalcon24 wrote:Oh, I'm a fairweather fan? I really regret missing out on this thread until now. It contains some of the best comedy I've seen in months.
As far as the attendance issues go, it's growing and that's a start. Let's all do everything in our power to promote the games and go from there. Call or write the marketing department and ask them to really promote. Tell your friends, invite people to the event on Facebook, put a sign on your door, whatever.
Complaining (and this isn't directed at you Niz, or anyone in particular) does nothing, make an effort.
