I thought OSU was a bit dirty. In your faces, beeeeeeeeeotches!!!!
Big 12....now time to take down the SEC. BEAT VANDY!!!!

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I dont think we got to the Sweet 16 in 1989. In fact, I think the announcers today said that no MAC team has ever made it to the Sweet 16. Can anyone confirm this?bgsufn wrote:You know, going into this game, all I wanted to do was win ONE tourney game. Now that we've done it... and since it's been since 1989 that we were in the Sweet 16... I wanna win again!!

I don't know about any other MAC team, but we lost our second game in '89 to top-seeded Maryland.USGFreddie05-06 wrote:I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I dont think we got to the Sweet 16 in 1989. In 1989 we beat Cincinnati at home in a first round game. We were defeated in the next game. WE have never been to the Sweet 16 and I defer to higher powers for the MAC question.USGFreddie05-06 wrote:I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I dont think we got to the Sweet 16 in 1989. Those are the only two options. With MSU also playing, I'd be astonished if we're not playing at 9:30.Falconfliccbone wrote:According to one of the band members up in East Lansing, we'll either be playing at 7:00 (or 7:30) or 9:30 Tuesday night. From what he was hearing, it sounds like we'll probably have the 9:30 game, which is still doable, just makes it a late night. GO FALCONS!!! BEAT VANDERBILT!!!

Holy crap -- only one team outside of BG, Kent, and Toledo has represented the MAC in the last 20 years? That's nuts.Schadenfreude wrote:Consider it confirmed.USGFreddie05-06 wrote:I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I dont think we got to the Sweet 16 in 1989.
