You know, going into this game, all I wanted to do was win ONE tourney game. Now that we've done it... and since it's been since 1989 that we were in the Sweet 16... I wanna win again!!

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I dont think we got to the Sweet 16 in 1989. In fact, I think the announcers today said that no MAC team has ever made it to the Sweet 16. Can anyone confirm this?

Amazing...simply amazing. I loved seeing all the orange, and I kind of liked the fact that the BG fans were spread throughout the arena. And it was nice to see OSU in the best colors ever.

OSU played their game, albeit dirty. Not to be really mean, but I could have played like the did...I could throw elbows, pretend to fall down, and push players down...maybe their girls should play football because it sounds more to their liking. And the refs.....I guess the MAC is not the only one with bad refs. You'd think we'd be used to it by now. ;.)

Kudos to the Falcons for staying calm and determined. They played as a team and worked towards the common goal...a victory whereas their #10 was the biggest ball hog I have seen (and what was up with her talking to her coach for 15 seconds while the ball was in play?!?!?). The game was much too close for me. I was a nervous wreck and it's a good thing I don't have high blood pressure because I think I would have had a stroke or heart attack. The guy in front of me said the same thing.

The final seconds of the game were awesome. So much cheering and pride from the Falcon faithful. I did get teary-eyed as well. It was awesome to because the people behind us were cheering with us and giving us high 5s.

One of the great moments of the game: a little boy behind us was wearing MSU gear, so I think he is from the area. He kept cheering for BGSU...we would do some cheer and he'd chime in with his cute little kid voice "Go BGSU." It was adorable.

Do we know what time the game is at yet? If it is after 5 I can make it, but nothing before that.
GO FALCONS!!

I don't know about any other MAC team, but we lost our second game in '89 to top-seeded Maryland.

Though if that was part of a 32-team tournament (which it might have been back then on the women's side), we technically did make the Sweet 16.

In 1989 we beat Cincinnati at home in a first round game. We were defeated in the next game. WE have never been to the Sweet 16 and I defer to higher powers for the MAC question.

No MAC team has won more than one tournament game in any given year. We were the first to win one in '89.

Let's make history!!!

According to one of the band members up in East Lansing, we'll either be playing at 7:00 (or 7:30) or 9:30 Tuesday night. From what he was hearing, it sounds like we'll probably have the 9:30 game, which is still doable, just makes it a late night. GO FALCONS!!! BEAT VANDERBILT!!!

Those are the only two options. With MSU also playing, I'd be astonished if we're not playing at 9:30.

Holy crap -- only one team outside of BG, Kent, and Toledo has represented the MAC in the last 20 years? That's nuts.
