If it's what she want, I certainly wouldn't tell her no. It absolutely seems to work, so what would be the issue with that? The goal is winning.

I don't know who makes the decisions, though.

The answer to the Wood County is.....FLAT.

I would hope Robyn could hire anyone she chooses.

It will be interesting to see who she can recruit at this late stage. Do the women have the same intervals for open offerings, like the men? That would be up until May something for final call :-)

To average 100 points a game, I'm guessing that our offense is going to be quick. No more breaking the press, then stopping and waiting for the other team to get set.... Geeze, that was annoying. Let's see how fast the team can play and we better get some sharpshooters.

Pie in the sky, can she tap Derrick Koch's gf to come to BG?

Even though Robyn's husband is a former College and High School coach and has been on her staff for the past several years and even though BG was aware he was on her coaching staff I would just wondering if they would consider that double-dipping. Who's to say BG hires a coach and the coach isn't completely satisfied with his salary. To bump his salary he can always hire his wife. What if Mike Jinks wanted to make an extra 45k per year. What's stopping him from hiring his wife as special teams coordinator. That's why I asked

The short answer is no.

The long answer is in the link below:

Very well spoken in the press conference.

Loved hearing that they will be a family!! And you have to trust your family.

Great to see her former coach at Ashland attend. That shows what the former coach thinks of her. Also nice to here the good words about Coach Roos.

Women have the same open signing periods as Men do. Unless another player leaves or one of the three LOI recruits opt out, there is but one scholarship open next year. Women have 15 vs Men's 13. So last year there were 14 on scholarship + the transfer who was sitting out. We lost 2 Seniors plus Santoro and reportedly Kennedy Williams. We had 3 LOI signings in November. That equals 1 schollie left. It would be interesting to see if the Ashland player who was Tournament MVP and just a Sophomore would make a move to Division I.

The girl from Ashland, Jodi Johnson was National POY in D2. She had several offers from other D1 schools. I do not think any players from Ashland would transfer to BG simply because they promoted the associate coach to HC. If Ashland went a new direction then I could see some players leaving but I don't think she would leave.

In addition to the university policy posted earlier, state ethics law probably prohibits this.

HR is the only problem with that, as BG has a "nepotism" ruling. Maybe it can be reversed in "certain situations" but I knmow it has been enforced in the past.

I went to the Press Conference and I am hopeful. I also liked the comments about family and hope that the academic portion of our team remains strong. The players that I talked to also seemed excited and ready to go. Lets hope everything works out.

Go BG!

Couldn't make it to the presser being over in different country. Watched it online. There were only 2 questions asked; Ch 11 and Sent-Trib, however Ch 13, Ch 24 and The Blade all present. You would think more questions would been asked with all the media there.

It was also impressive that her mentor from Ashland was in attendance and wearing orange.
