I thik it's great that the University has someone working with the special needs folks so they'll know where their seats are...

OK Dustin so you are guaranteed the seat you want over everyone else? then why did they develop a point system based on years & amount of giving, Falcon Club membership years & other measures? I dare say I'm way older than you & have individually given a BiG share of my money to BG including $$ for my custom BG license plates. No family giving involved for me. Also in the past 4 seasons , I've missed an average of 3 games......road games ....too far.....too snowy & sell 50/50 tickets every chance I get at home. The coaches are REALLY EXCITED to see what they can do with teams in the Stroh. Curt said Friday on the news he wants the atmosphere from AA in the Stroh........we know he wants loud, proud & positive when they raise their arms they want the volume louder not standing I just wish you would ask them. I've delt with a VERY UNHAPPY coach about negative comments directed at our players, officials & opposing players.... I wasn't involved but was questioned & asked to help be positive. I won't fire back at you the smilies you put on your posts not my style my voice is getting exercise this off-season who will b hoarse first? See you the 18th it's the day they've announced to select up to 5 choices/ seats so they can make sure the point system works & nobody's sittting on laps. I think someone on the women's coaching staff monitors this board just sayin'

Okay Sue. What did I miss? Is there going to be a re-selection of seating for WBB? I assumed they just flipped selections end over end. Must be some conspiracy going on there.

Anyway, since I'll probably still keep score, I sit on my butt and write most of the time, from the OTHER side. Last season I missed ONE men's home game (the Saturday the women played at WMU) and only went to ONE road WBB game (EMU, my "arena envy" site). Are you counting Dekalb as one of your "misses" :-)

I forgot how brutal road games can be. At EMU, we sat in front of a guy that was a "supposed" BGSU fan, yelling at the players...from both sides and the refs. Geeze, it's a friggin' game. If I had someone yelling at me when I work everytime I made a mistake, I'd quit my job. BTW those mistakes are called experience. But, like others have said, the refs won't change the call and yelling at the opposing players just fires them up.

Yelling at me just pizzes me off.

HoopsFan.....received a card front says Stroh Center Seat Selection other side addresses Falcon Club members & season ticket holders about exclusive chance to select seat(s) for next season. This is for those people who will cheer/ watch from seats other than the Anderson Club. I qualify to sit in AC but only sit behind the bench @ away games......safer :) Date is the 18th 10am-3pm schedule an appointment or visit Open House (same day) 5:30-7pm

Last season I missed 2 Seattle games...toooo far, NIU.... a blizzard.... car sits tooo close to ground and EMU.....too much bronchitis
sit across from bench @ home

being yelled @ to shut up when I'm cheering "GO BG" or starting "BG" "SU" cheer makes me cheer louder & more often 8-)
had a guy come up to me @ after hockey game @ Maine.....he was really hoarse, I could still talk. He said I've been trying to out yell you." lost my voice twice in Cancun & CCHA play-offs way back.
one of the just graduated seniors said to me when she was a freshman.... I never know what you're going to say next.....Keep it up.
Try to bring in new ways to fire them up & negate the opponent. Just so it's positive. Love all the descriptive verbs, adjectives & adverbs Mike Emirick (sp) uses when he broadcasts an NHL hockey game =D> .....BG alum too. :)

Your card says July 27? maybe the point system is working & people are being contacted based on where you are on that continuum. I don't know just a guess on my part. It also says if you are unable to attend on your specified date, please call the BGSU Ticket Office to schedule an appointment with our staff. With over 4000 seats there's space for everyone. They might be keeping the numbers small so they can provide customer service. Just thoughts.....need to wait & see.

Dustin Cheer for the men's team the way you want but.................the Women's Team may be another story. I have said before coaches check this board & they also hear the cheering. I know personally you DO NOT want to cross one of the coaches with negative cheers, yelling at the refs or opponents.............but I guess you may need this lesson. I've already had my instructions to stop yelling at the refs 'cause if I can hear you...they can....so I stopped (OK maybe a couple of times in a game depends on situation) but not whole game, every game. I've tried to be loud, supportive and proud of the women's team. even heard the "BG" "SU" cheer started by me on this year's highlight DVD.....seen it? heard it?......surprised me. 8-)
assert your independence in a positive way especially at the women's games......I know a black belt who reads this who cheers in the + manner....we try to keep even keel.........21 year women's bball fan.
I guess we will respect you when you show some hint of respect for us rather than you just don't care
are you a BGSU grad ? I am & a "townie" That probably doesn't matter to you either but you are casting a negative light on something I care about very much & support both home AND away. Check my other post on this thread.

Sue, I think most people really appreciate your support of the team. But, I've gotta disagree with whatever edict may be in place to not yell at the referees. Vulgarity should never be condoned, but they should hear dissenting views if a close call goes against the Falcons. Plus the quality of work done by women's basketball refs, especially in the MAC, is manifestly substandard.

I never yell at opposing players, but I have at coaches. They and referees are pros who should be able to take a little ribbing.

i never yell at the opposing players of any of the women teams but the men are a different story and same way with opposing coaches and refs! also i don't swear at them either because i would be ejected from the game and i don't want that to happen cause i care about BGSU Falcons and also just because i don't show my support for BGSU like everybody else because i am not like everybody else and i couldn't see me being like anybody else! i am not a conformist!
