Not quite ranked...

Up to 19 votes and 27th in the rankings.
I'm a little mystified this week. New Mexico goes 0-2 and only drops 4 spots to 20th while UK goes 0-2 and drops 13 spots to 36th? The level of competition was about equal for both teams.
St. John's goes 1-1 and moves up 1 spot to 24th??? How the hell does that work?
Texas A&M beats a crappy 10-10 Texas Tech team (only game) and leaps us to 25th?
Missouri squeaks by KSU and gets blown out at home and they hold their ground at 26th?
Oh well -- we're only two votes out of the top 25 with a very sweepable week ahead. NIU we should maul, and BSU will be tough on the road.

Texas Tech is not a crappy team...they have lost a lot of games by 6 pts or less. Sound familiar around here? But yeah, they have some impressive wins as well as bad loses, but I wouldn't call them crappy. A&M deserves that spot.

So have the Bulls, and right now they're a pretty crappy team. Last I checked you don't get any medals for close losses.
EMU > Texas Tech.
Edit: Upon looking at Texas Tech's schedule, it does appear that they are indeed not crappy as Metz says. So A&M beat a decent team and leaped us while we had 2 wins. Still questionable IMO. Not as bad as the other things I pointed out, but still bunk.

I think that next week if we can win 2 games this week, with 20 wins under our belts we should make the Top 25. If we have 20 wins and are not voted in, then i'm going ot be upset.

UK can probably be explained by the "way" it lost last week. One game was a complete blow out, Lossing to UGA 91-57. After a week off from the Tennessee game this was a BAD loss. On Sunday they lost to Florida to a supposedly sold out crowd at home. A closer game 68-61, but a loss at home none the less.
If they keep winning like they are they will get in. It might take longer then we would like to see, but it will happen.

Nothing you can do but take care of your own business each game...keep winning, and the polls will take care of themselves.

There is no way in heck Michigan State (17-7), Vanderbilt (16-7), New Mexico (16-6, 2 losses this week), or Boston College (17-6) should be in the rankings in front of us. They all have at least 6 losses and none of those teams have matched our win total, with more games played than us. Their schedules are the only thing keeping these teams in front of us, and in the case of Michigan State and New Mexico, that's NOT justifiable at all. The records of the situation dictate that we should be in there.
Ah well, we only have two really loseable games left on the schedule, this Saturday at Ball State, and then in two weeks when Kent State comes to Anderson. If we win both of those, we'll be 27-2 heading into the MAC Championship and on our way to NC's.

I will make a prediction now. If the girls win out and win the MAC tourny, they will be ranked 25 and no higher.
They will be a 10 or higher seed as well in the NCAA tourny.

As much as I don't want to believe that, you are probably right. We are getting absolutely no respect. Maybe a big run come NC's will teach the polsters not to hate.

Its all about the parity....this sport is so unequal that until we do something in the tournament we might as well enjoy our spot!
