Falcon Women were awesome today

Post by always a falcon »

Good crowd at AA for the game. It was fun. Liz lit up 3-3's in the 2nd half that were Nothin but Net.

I am a bit concerned about ALi Mann and the lack of her in our offense. I think they are keying on her so much that she takes the double team and lets the rest of the team take the shots. Defensively she still is awesome.

Nice to see the bench handle the game down the stretch.

Can't wait to get Kent at home on Wednesday. Let's go Falcons!

I wouldn't say awesome. Pretty average first half. Came on strong to start the second.

The bench did not handle the game down the end. They came in with a 20+ point lead and it almost was cut to single digits

I wasn't at today's game, so I can't say much about it, but from what I've heard this was a typical game for the ladies. They started a bit slow, not making shots from the outside, yet still having a slight lead at the break, then turning it on in the 2nd half. Any way they win is good. We're now 22-2 heading into the big showdown with Kent State on Wednesday, where a victory gives us the outright regular season championship of the MAC. Can't wait for that one, hopefully we'll get a crowd similar to that of the Eastern Michigan game back on 2/1.

Another great team effort...that's why this squad is so special. Every player understands and embraces the "Team" concept. The ladies had almost 2,000 in attendance. Kent comes in Wed night and right now BG has a 3 game lead on the Golden Flashes. If BG wins Wed, they clinch the East title and the MAC regular season title! It is also Senior Night...Casey McDowell and Jill Lause will be honored before the game.

I'll be listening on the net or the KSU radio network...as long as Bill Needled isn't calling the action! LOL

Class of 61 and I went downtown after the men's game to get a bite to eat. We were crossing Main St when Liz and some friends were passing by. I congratulated her with a "Nice win today!" and she was very appreciative.

Man, I love watching this team play.

GO FALCONS!!! BACK TO BACK BABY!
