Baylor knocks off BG, 3-2 today. BGSU has been outscored by a total of just five runs in this weekend's four games to date. BG is 0-4 on the weekend but they've been in EVERY game against 3 ranked teams.

Falcons will face Washington and Miss State tomorrow to close out the weekend. NEED to get a couple wins!!

You know, after having a very good friend play for a nationally ranked softball team while she was in college, I think that playing everyone of these teams close matters alot. I remember when she played the likes of #1 Arizona out in California, they didn't win those games, but they kept them close, and they won the games that they were supposed to win, and they stayed ranked. The only reason that we need to win these next two games is to be ranked, but I think with a blossoming program, just keeping these games close, and winning the MAC is what's important. The ranking will eventually come, but that will have to come in time. Not too many northern teams get ranked, just look at Michigan last year. They were the only northern team to be ranked ever. The people that do the polls seem to look at the teams that can play all year for the rankings. Getting ready to win the MAC is the only thing that our team needs to do at this time. Getting us ready for the conference season, and winning a couple of NCAA tournament games is really what this weekend is for us. It would be great for us to get a win or two this weekend, but winning the MAC is the most important.
