MAC Finals!

Post by Peregrinner »

Because I can't get enough of this tournament action, I stopped halfway home from the "Q" and am now spending the night to head back up for tomorrow's game.
Anyone who was there this afternoon, I was that freak in the orange wig who somehow ended up in the "Lucky Seat" (after 3 seating changes).
Unfortunately, my choice of overnight stop is not the greatest...
I'm behind enemy lines staying with a friend at... Kent State
As long as I survive any late night assassination attempts, I'll be there tomorrow as well, but I might be by myself, so if anyone sees a 6'4" freak in an orange wig/bg hat and orange sweatshirt, PLEASE don't be afraid to say hello. It'll be awfully lonely in Cleveland by myself.
And a fun quote for everyone, on my way out of the parking garage today, two Kent fans spotted me and said "Great game! Seeya tomorrow... And PLEASE tell #13 to stay home!"
Looks like Liz has struck the fear into them already.

Nice job today! If you are alone tomrrow I will look you up. You were too far away today,.

Falcon fans are AWESOME- WHERE are the other teams fans??? Kent is right down the road and I dont think even their parents came.

We have a great group here.....Freak is looking like he has a SERIOUS case of FALCON-itis. I hope it lasts one more day. looking forward to seeing the Freaklings again.

IF you can't get here....yell at your tv.

BO- I saw your dad on the phone to you. I am looking for your mom tomorrow to see what she wears. It could be war.

God, it felt good to beat Toledo. Liz Honnegar will save us all, but I am still taking ALI MANN into any rumble with me!

GO FALCONS WIN IT ALL..

I am ready to go......how can we sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where were you at? I don't necessarily care where I sit as long as I'm around fellow BG fans.
I agree with the Liz and Ali comments as well.
I found it hilarious that the UT "blue crew" was trying to mock Liz at some point early in the second, yet at the time she was already in double digits, scoring wise.
And my friends who came with me (both who have pretty much never seen any Women's BBall games) are sold on Ali Mann being just about the best thing they've ever seen. She's so intense. How about that WIDE OPEN shot, that ended up being the play of the game or whatever?! How nice, she gets the paint all to herself.
Another thing I noticed that I thought I would point out, is that at one point a UT player had the ball ALL by herself with only the hoop and Liz in front of her, and she opted to wait and pass the ball off rather than take her chances against Liz... Good choice. :D

If you see a 5'4" freak in there with a #30 jersey on, that is me. The spouse and I will be there and be loud.

BG - Kent State for the MAC title...it's deja vu all over again.

We're also looking forward to making it to the game. I wish our men's team was playing in the finals too to make it a 2-for-1 day like Kent State, but it won't stop me from cheering on the Falcons tomorrow. Let’s make it back-to-back MAC titles and NCAA Tournament appearances!!!
