Emich got blasted by Indiana State by 22 in the WNIT. Not exactly a great statement for the MAC.....

Dang, I though EMU would have a better showing than that as well. Is the womens basketball in the Mac low on the totem pole as far as mid-major's go? It seems that way to me which all the other good mid-major teams that I'm hearing about.

The MAC was somewhere around 16th out of 30 (I think) in conference RPI.
Normally in men's the MAC hovers around 10-12.
Obviously the MAC is not well thought of by the committees since we only got a 12 seed by going 19-0 in it and Kent didn't make the WNIT.
I don't believe the MAC has won a NCAA tourney game since 96 or 97 went Kent? and Toledo both won first round games? This is all off the top of my head so the details might be a little sketchy.

Given EMU got rolled by Kent in their most recent game, this doesn't seem like a surprise. Perhaps Kent would have given them a better game.
