If I hear ESPN short change us one more time, I think I might drive to West Layfatte and kick Dave Barnett's ass. I'm so sick and tired of hearing how UCLA has the better athletes and they are clearly a superior team to BG. I think Women's basketball is a helluva lot more politics then Mens basketball.

Now lets go BG kick some bruin ass!

Well, to tell ya the truth theres' nothing wrong at all with what Barnett said cuz its the cold truth no matter how much it hurts and it does hurt. We just look like girls among women out there.

As much as we dominated the Mac is just goes to show this big divide between mid-major teams and these power confernce ladies teams. They've got bigger players that are just as athletic as our guards if not more so, and they got a ton of em on thier squads.

We are a very good mid-major ladies team but I'm afraid thats all we are at this point in time. We still have a wasy to go in recruting and whatnot before we can expect us to run with a team like ucla. That first half was pretty evident. Having said that I'm still of course pulling and rooting for us to come back and blast the lady bruins to pieces even though I dont' believe that can ever happen.

BS....we didn't hit the threes when we needed to and they did. If we hit the shots we missed mid way in the second half, we'd have been in the game until the end.

I suppose our slaughter of Indiana this year means absolutely nothing...

I agree with you that we woulda been alot closer at the end if we coulda just converted 5 more missed layups and made our 3's like we're capable of.

It wasn't just ESPN that was singing the praises of UCLA. The BG pregame radio show was too. Even Curt Miller seemed tentative during his interview. I think that may reflect the confidence of the team as a whole. I thought BG would come out with a lot more confidence today, since this was their second straight trip to the tournament. But watching the game, I never got the feeling they believed they could win. It just shows the need for all MAC teams to play a tougher non-conference schedule. Until they beat some top teams, they're never going to believe they can win in the tournament.

No it doesn't mean that at all. Indiana isn't loaded stock full of althletic freaks like UCLA is. Indiana is the type of power confernce team that we can handle, at this point anyway.

Bingo. We had our chances. UCLA hit the shots we didn't.

I just got in from the game. First, what a great atmosphere for BG. That sea of orange was a sight to see. I will post pictures when I figure out how. Second, this is just another step in the process. We all know it will take the toughest off season schedule in the country and running the table in the MAC to get above a 10 seed in this tournament. Therefore we will be playing a team with tournament experience. Yes we have some, but only one year for this team to pull from. The upper level teams, for whatever reason, have 4th year seniors with the experience from three years to pull from. This is a process folks. Yes it sucks to lose. And yes we very easily could have won. But, when we get to the point that we are going every year and have the experience we will take out lumps like we did today. I would love to look at the pre-MAC schedule for next year and see UCLA on it, at their place. We can get used to traveling and gain experience at the same time. Today was great even with the loss. That Falcon nation is strong and we proved that today. We were quite loud and made out presence known. You have to crawl before you can walk. GO BG!!!!!

Damn. You people should have been in West Lafayette then. Because the team I saw the first ten minutes of the game DEFINITELY appeared to have confidence and the feeling they could win.

i agree. they came out ready to go. same in start of the second half, too. as soon as the questionable calls started setting in, though, it seemed like the team (and even coach miller) looked defeated.
