Coach Miller

Post by Columbus Falcon »

He has done a really impressive job at BG. Now I went to BG from 94-98. Matter of fact Bridget Andrews was from my high school. With the job that he has done I have to wonder if he is starting to get noticed by bigger programs? I don't blame him if he goes to a bigger program that will pay him more money.

:? Yea Coach Miller Did a great Job this past season, But I don't Think He has recieved any national attention due to the fact of His weak schedule for pre-conference game these past 3 years and the strength of schedule rating in the pre-tournament rpi rating. By the the strength of Schedule was 180 out of 320 plus Div. 1 Women's College Basketball teams. Even Coach Ron Sterward Westen Michigan's Michigan Women's basketball coach scheduled a better pre-conference schudle and had a better Strength of Schedule raking in the Rpi ratings of 112.
Plus Coach Miller also has to Play and defeat some Major Schools before he really receives national attention.
Therefore I feel Coach Miller wont't be leaving soon and that's good thing!!!!

I think he's attached to atleast this next season with such a great senior class.......if we have a great season, I think the opportunities for Coach Miller will be too good to pass up...

Coach Roos steps up to HC, and we don't miss a beat

I have talked to a couple of DI and DII coaches that are very impressed with the job Coach Miller is doing at BG. One of them is the assistant at Colorado State. He is respected by his peers, and he doesn't need a few more years to get a higher paying job. He could put his name in the hat of higher profile job, and be in the running in the end. You don't do what he's done, and not get noticable consideration. I'm not buying the theory of scheduling tougher opponents, and beating them. The fact that this year we played a tough Kentucky team to overtime at their place, oh yeah, they beat Tennessee, and beat an Indiana team that, oh yeah, they beat Purdue, is very impressive. I'm not saying that we would have done the same thing, but if we would have played those two teams that are better, and got them on the right night like IU and UK, we could have just as good a shot. This team could have beaten UCLA if it weren't for some very hot shooting in the first half by UCLA. I love what Coach Miller has done, and I really hope and believe that he is committed to this program for a while longer. I'm not saying that he is going to be a lifer here, but he will be at BG on his own will for a while yet.

Miller has never won an NCAA tournament game. Therefore he shouldn't get any job offers and stay at BG for awhile. Now I just need to get those hundreds of letters copied to send to all the ADs in the nation.
