This is interesting, didn't think I'd ever hear of a Mac player even getting a whiff from the WNBA but I guess Coleman fits the profile a little. The first link gets interesting near the very bottom.

When you post about something good for either BGSU or the MAC, does it make you nauseous?

Good for Ryan. Believe it or not, there are a couple of girls on our own squad that likely are not far behind her.

I heard that Kate Achter in particular could get a lot of looks from WNBA scouts.

What the heck do you mean by that BO? No, hearing good news for BGSU or Mac teams does not make me nauseous in the least. This is good for the Mac in general my friend. I was just a little surprised as all , but happily surprised. Seeing this makes me think there may be a shot for someone like Kate Achter after her senior year.

Kate Endress was in Connecticut's camp last season and Bowie (her first name escapes me) from Ball St. was a Washington Mystics draft pick about 3 seasons ago.

I'm surprised that Shearer from Kent St. has not been signed yet but I suspect that will be coming shortly. She's far too good for the entire league to take a flyer on. She's a tweener at 6'1" (short enough to play the 3 but plays like a big 4.) but there are enough teams who need significant post help that she should get a good look.

She already is getting looks from scouts.

In my very honest opinion, Ali Mann is the most "WNBA ready" player at BGSU but sadly, there is a huge log jam in the "W" at the position she plays.....mostly established veterans who will always have a job until they actually retire regardless of better, more youthful talent. It's a shame because she can play the 2 or 3, she can shoot, rebound, defend.....she's a better than average passer.....she's got the goods to play professionally. Hopefully the right team will contact her when her college career is completed rather than someone who is just looking for training camp bodies.
