She comes from *ugh* Kent State, and starts Wednesday.

Welcome, Coach and good luck!

(The bookstore is in the Union, you can exchange your blue and gold clothes there. )

This hire looks to have all the right elements, including the most important: Ohio recruiting experience and success.

I like the ambitious attitude in regards to taking the program to an even higher level as well.

Good points, Joe. Kent State is no slouch in softball...they've had some really good teams over the past decade.

I think Salsburg has solid credentials. She's a native of Navarre, Ohio...home to the world famous Mid's pasta sauce!!! And about 25 minutes from my hometown of Dover. If she went to Fairless HS, she was a FALCON!

Welcome to BGSU, Coach! Orange and Brown will look very nice on you.

Freak,

Thanks for that Sandy Valley travelogue tidbit about Navarre....actually I think the fact that Nickels Bakery has a real large factory there is more significant.

We used Navarre as our breakfast stop when pedaling down to Atwood Lake from Wadsworth....Navarre used to have a restaurant with the "worlds most surliest waitress".

Nickles' HQ is in Navarre. The bakery in Navarre, along with the Martins Ferry bakery, are the oldest. There's also a distribution center just north of town on 21 that's technically in Massillon.
My sister and her family (my brother in law was a Fairless Falcon) live in Navarre (or, Navarr-ay as some locals call it). I can smell the bread every time I visit.
