3rd place is rather disappointing especially after how we fared last year. But given the strength of the upper tier of the competition and considering that we increased our points by 100 in the poll compared to last year, this is still impressive.
Can't wait for hoops to get started!

Preseason is preseason. These look somewhat accurate to me, from what I can recall. I think the three best teams in the league are in the West. EMU, WMU, and BG of course. Marshall is my surprise pick.

I think the ranking is only because we lost 2 solid players. However, I don't think our team will be any worse. IMO, they will be better this year and actually win the MAC title. While young, the team has major talent and depth at every position...watch out MAC!!!

We were picked lower last year. We had a better record than most people expected and made it to the championship game. These preseason polls don't really mean much. With the players we have with another year of experience and the new ones we added I think we can cover the loss of those two and actually be better.
