Holy Lindsey Goldsberry. She had the best game of her young career by far tonight, stepping up big when we had some early foul trouble. Amber Flynn with a couple threes was a nice lift too. She just keeps doing a lot of little things inside to help the team win.
Besides that, it was just more of the same -- the Kate and Ali show. They were both absolutely fantastic as we shot the ball amazingly well. We played nearly flawlessly. Temple is a very good team as they were coming off a home blowout win over Georgia Tech I believe. 86 is the most points a Temple team has given up in almost 4 years, and that was an overtime game .
This was just the type of team we needed to beat. Big win tonight. I can't wait to see how bad Temple smokes Toledo.

What a great win for the Falcons! Ali and Kate? Are you kidding me? A combined 16 of 18? J4H, great point about Goldsberry. Reading thru the recap (Whoever does women's hoops updates on bgsufalcons.com should get a raise. Now THAT'S reporting the story!), she came in and just made her mark. Lindsay will be a VERY important piece of the team after this year's SR's leave. I love hearing about someone who loves playing defense.
BG now with 19 consecutive wins at AA and looking for #20 Wed night vs Oakland. BG is now 38-5 in their last 43 games!

BG lost to Kansas State 70-60 in Seattle in the NCAA's ('05), Kentucky by 4 in OT, Delaware by 4 Philly and UCLA by 13 in W :Lafeyette last year in the NCAA's and at ND by 4 in OT this season. 5 losses by a combined 35 points against BiG time teams. Incredible. Two games in OT.
I think that loss at ND really ate this team up from the inside cuz look at what they've done since. 76-40, 87-56 and now 86-67 against a very good Temple team.
Looking over the schedule, my first chance to see the team live will be 1/3/07 at Akron. Man I wish that Indiana game was on a Saturday. That might get a crowd of 2 or 3K! I'd be there if it was. Maybe I'll drive up on 12/31 for the Robert Morris game.
GO FALCONS!!!! BEAT OAKLAND!!!
Temple Game.......

Yeah, Kate & Ali dominated all game long. All in all a very good performance against a very quick & athletic Temple team. Even with Horne and Liz in foul trouble the Taylor , Jazz and Flynn all kept up the intensity and pressure and didn't let off the pedal at all. I think Goldsberry is probably one of our most cerebral players out there. She's not particuarly super quick or athletic but she's manages to wreak major havoc defensivly with steals and deflections galore.
Next up Oakland on Wed. the 29th. I'd like to try and make it up there even though I now work at 4am to 9am at UPS, making it tough to do things on weeknights. I did buy season tix though the all the lady falcon home games this season. At 28 bucks for all 13 game its a frickin' steal!

So we'll beat Toledo by 30 then. I was hoping for more, but I guess 30 will do.
