The Lady Falcons are 28th in the new AP poll, 21 points out of 25th, with Florida State and Rutgers ahead of them in the "Also receiving votes". Indiana got one point in the poll, I'd be interested to see where that particular voter put BG.

Rutgers at 3-4 including a 40-point loss to Duke ahead of us. Gotta love the media.
I'm guessing we'll be 19th in tomorrow's coaches poll.

Last night watching ESPN, I was waiting for the Top 25 to scroll by. What a crock that BG isn't ranked in this poll. Destroyed everyone in their path except ND and no love again.

Meanwhile, OSU loses BiG to LSU by 24 and falls from #5 allllllllllllll the way to #8? Granted, LSU is a Top 10 team but still....3 places??
Just keep winning, FALCONS!!!! People who know women's college hoops know BG is a great team.
GO FALCONS!!! DUMP DUKE!!!!

We beat Duke, that'll get people's attention.

I think losing to Duke by less than 15 will get people's attention. A win would thrust unbelievable attention our way.

And that's what I want the team thinking. Screw this "playing respectable" stuff. Here is an opportunity for the women's program to make the biggest statement in the history of the program. I believe tipoff is 7pm next Tuesday so I am thinking some ESPN channel will have it. PPV could be a possibility as well.
So I just looked down thru Duke's schedule so far. Wow...they are something else. Duke's closest game has been a 69-48 win over #11 Vandy? Duke stomped #21 Rutgers on the road by 40 and beat #22 Texas by 28 at home. Holy crap....
Well, all BG has to do is play better than Duke for 40 minutes.....
GO FALCONS!!!! DUMP DUKE!!

The same Texas team we play the next night after beating the women Dookies.
Actually I like our chances at this game as it played on a neutral court. Can we beat Duke? YES! But we have to play our best game of the season. Could we beat them at Cameron? I highly doubt it. But I'd love to give it a shot.

We play UT-Arlington, not Texas.

The #22 Texas that Duke beat earlier is the University of Texas - Austin. We play in Cancun the University of Texas - Arlington. They are two totally different teams. Texas - Austin has been a traditional power in women's basktball. So we only have to beat one nationally ranked program in Cancun not two.

Look, who really cares about the AP poll, the poll I worry about is the coaches poll. They are the ones that know women's basketball, and they know how good BG is. Trust me on this one. People in the coaching circle have nothing but compimentary things to say about the program right now. That's all I care about. When it comes selection time, the seeding will be better this time around. I know conference commisioners do the seeding, but the coaches they know will give them ideas on who is really good, and who isn't. They will do their research before they go in and make the decisions. I really think that if our only other loss is to Duke, we will probably be around a 7-9 seed. I would love to see us higher, but it all depends on how we play against Duke, and how bad we beat the MAC this year. If we blow through our conference like our OOC, then I would say that we will get a decent seed. And the program is only looking up with the recruits that Coach Miller is getting to commit to BG right now. Here's to continued success for our program!

Talked to the coach last night after the coach's show. No TV coverage at all for this tourney.

I suppose that I'll have to follow the CSTV updates. I'm guessing no radio coverage either??

88.1 claims to have every women's game, so I'm hoping they make the trip.
