Big, big game Tuesday at the high scoring Miami. The Redhawks have a number of talented perimeter scorer/athletes. All SW Ohio Falcon fans should try to get to Millet. Because Miami does not draw well, it might be a big help for BG.

Several future Falcons had good games this week.

Lauren Prochaska's high scoring has been well documented on these threads. She hit for 30 Thursday as Alder beat Newark Catholic and for 46 last night as her team defeated Waynesville 54-50. She had 16 FGs and 14 FTs. She is now the 13th all time scorer in Ohio HS history and will move up by the end of the year. She has over 2300 career points.

Fellow central Ohioan Crystal Murdaugh continues to lead undefeated Dublin Scioto. Crystal rarely plays a full game. She had 14 as they blew out New Albany 51-26. The game was 36-13 at the half.

Stow moved to 10-2 with a 60-43 win over Mayfield. Liana Jennings had 19.

Wadsworth is 10-2 and has a big game in the MLK holiday tourney finale at Berlin Hiland Monday evening. Hiland is the defending D IV champs and are playing like they could repeat. It will be a crazy state tourney type atmosphere for Jen Uhl and company.

ff1,

Thanks for the updates! The Akron Beacon Journal has been giving great press on Jennings and Uhl and Bianca Hooten at Canton McKinely gets mentioned from time to time. Jennings just broke Stow's all time scoring mark.

Yes indeed, the Akron Regional could look like a future MAC All-Star game, check the other thread with Nance's daughter also attending Revere...but I think they might play down in DivII. Cassie Shrock of Wads is going to Eatern Mich so there's another one to watch in the future.

Small school signee Kelly Zuercher continues to impress big time. Waynedale moves to 11-1 as Kelly hits for 25 point and 13 rebounds in a 65-31 win this week. Zuercher could be important (along with MI all stater Albert) in the post spot as we obviously lose some interior players.

Stow continued to roll with a big victory at the Classic in the Country at Berlin Hiland HS. The team is now 12-2 and Lee Jennings had 20 in their last win. Wadsworth had a signature win as they defeated host Hiland in front of a sold out gymnasium by a fairly decent margin. Jen Uhl had a solid game with 13 points and 11 boards. Even though Wadsworth is D 1 and Hiland D IV, it is still a big win for the Grizz as Hiland is defending state champs and very, very hard to handle at their Holmes County gym.

The place had a lot of college scouts on hand checking out many juniors etc from all over the state. A third BG signee was in action at Hiland. Crystal Murdaugh had a wonderful game as Dublin Scioto remained undefeated witha 58-47 win over a strong Cincinnati Princetion squad. Murdaugh had 24 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks as she finally had to go a full game as the season has been full of blow outs. Murdaugh is a consummate team player.

Out in down state Illinois, the Morton HS Potters continue to win. They moved to 18-1 as they beat Richwoods last time out 72-55. Incoming BG point Tracy Pontius had 12. This is a well balanced team who might make some noise in the state tourney.

Just about all of our signees come from winning programs and are used to playing in big games.

Go Falcons!
