What are the BG women's attendance numbers over the past few years? I'd love to see year prior to Curt's arrival and each year under him- they have increased, I am sure, but I wonder by what amount?

It seems to me there could be tremendous growth potential with attendees at women's games. The Deleware game where all seats were $5 was great. Wonder if they should look at making the orange seatbacks season tickets and the remainder of AA $5 g.a. seats. Would they make the money up on lowering the prices by bringing more people out?

From a practical, logical standpoint, given the national prominence of our program, I would have to believe that making all seats $5 for women's games would bring in a lot more people, and subsequently, greater profit. One must bear in mind, however, that we do have a very fickle fanbase, and it seems to me that we are a less predictable lot than most.

But you don't want to punish the long-time season ticket holders and you also want to be able to sell a season ticket at about $8/game to people who will pay the extra to have the same seat (with a seatback) for every game.

I'm sure jealous. MTSU has got major thing goin' on down there. 3200 per game and the coach is looking to get to 7k-8k by his 5th year? What is it with southern fans? They seem to be more impashioned about their teams when they do get good. Seems they do way better after such a short rise to success than we do. Our lady falcons deserve 3200 a game just as MSTU doesl, but we seem to be stuck at 1500 a game. The rest of our schedule is going to be all Mac teams and I fear most fans don't feel there's a real good team we'll play at home the rest of the season. Sadly our attendance is unfortunately based off not just the teams success but how the prestige of our opponents. MTSU has beaten a #8 Georgia team on the road so maybe that has something to do with it.

But yes, it is sad how our fan base is so fickle.

This is true, and I guess I was talking about non-chairback seats. Those should be made available, in my opinion, at the beginning of the year to season ticket holders. You also have to remember that the chairbacks on the south side are, in large part, reserved for visiting fans, so that takes up some of those, as well. For now, what is left over in the chairbacks on gameday could, realistically, be sold for $5 on gameday on a first-come, first-served basis. We could still charge a premium for season tickets (because those seats would be reserved throughout the year). Hopefully, as our season ticket base grows, we could even convert a couple sections of chairbacks in the upper sections to reserved, season ticket seats, even if it is for a charge nominally greater than, or even with, the general $5 price. As crowds grow (which is clearly a steadfast goal for this program), a lot of the people that get used to a seat might want to reserve it in the coming years.

My God is there a lot of potential with this program!
